happy to see us in the top 10...however, I have to say I think its more a product of people in the top 25 pooping themselves than Michigan having impressive wins. Beating MSU would be a nice boost...first good team on our schedule (IMO).

Things are lining up real nicely for the team...hopefully we can take advatange of the tremendous opportunity that's been presented to us.

If Sparty is the "first good team" on the schedule, than what about the team that beat Sparty 31-13?  That was the real first good team Michigan played.  ND is not as bad as they looked against USF, and Michigan is for real.  Sparty is overrated, and will only keep up with Michigan until about halfway through the third quarter.

I expect to see the floodgates to open in the fourth quarter, and some typical SPARTY NO moments after they realize they aren't going to win.

I think we've played one good team (Notre Dame) and two decent teams (Northwestern, Western).  ND lost their first two games because of turnovers but have toned down that problem since.  Northwestern with Persa is a decent team despite their 0-2 record with him (loses to us and Illini) and Western is decent with the same loses as NW.

You make decent points...I'm not sold on ND and we aren't going to know what they are all year because their schedule poo poo (save Stanford).

However, I look at where M started the year (NR) and what our resume is and barring the epic fails that happened in the top 25 we wouldn't be where we are...is my point. There's been some pretty remarkable disasters in the middle of the polls that have benefitted us greatly.

Our schedule is so backloaded it doesn't really mean anything to us. I couldn't care less about being #10. ESPN projected the first BCS ranking and had us at 9 right behind Stanford, we're not even close to as good as Stanford is right now.

In other news the Lions are ranked #4 in the ESPN NFL power rankings, which mean about as much to the lions as the Harris Poll, or any other poll, means to Michigan.

Polls, obviously, mean more to college football than the NFL but if you subscribe to the school of thought that your goal is to win the B1G (I do), polls mean nothing.  The B1G is finally set up to crown a single champion in a similar fashion to the NFL.  Michigan has done what they need to do so far (2-0) and hopefully the trend continues.

I can't imagine that we will give up more than 28 to the Spartans, so I just hope our offense is clicking.  We can't afford 3 intereceptions in the first half against the Spartans.

Can we continue calling them Clemsoon?

They usually implode, but this year they look pretty serious.  And as of right now they're projected to be in the Orange Bowl vs. West Virginia.  That's a relatively easy opponent considering what they could get if they face one of the SEC teams left out of the championship.
