That doesn't make sense.
MSU would beat Iowa and take their spot.
For MSU, it's just a matter of winning out. But I've got them losing on Saturday, muhuhahahahaha.

We need ND to lose. We need Big XII help.
An OSU win isn't nearly as impressive as it seemed at 4pm on Saturday.
You assertion couldn't be more wrong.
November 24th, 2015 at 7:55 PM ^
champion will be in the playoff. Period. They give conference champions way more weight and the BIG Ten has 4 top 10 teams so the commitee is sold on the conference.
November 24th, 2015 at 7:36 PM ^
11-1 ND with wins over Navy, Temple, USC, and Stanford and one loss to Clemson has a better resume than a 11-2 UM team with wins over Northwestern, BYU, OSU, and Iowa with losses to MSU and Utah
November 24th, 2015 at 7:59 PM ^
and the commitee is going to give a conference champion the bid unless it is undisputable that the non-conference champion is better. This is in the CFP by laws.
November 24th, 2015 at 9:33 PM ^
Was going to bring this up if it comes down to us vs ND. Heard that on College Football Live a week ago. If ND isn't "indisputably" better than a P5 team for 4th spot, then they don't get in. We may have to see if "indusputable" is the same definition B1G refs use, though.

Really? If they beat Iowa they will have beaten us and osu on the road (something we haven't done in 15 years) plus an undefeated Iowa. How is that undeserving?

Its ridiculous how the analysts are all giving credit to msu for their win over Oregon now that theyre playing better. They were teribble then and should be evaluated as they were at the time.

Or both?

He had a broken finger.
But yes, they've been crazy lucky. That game versus a hurt Adams, a punt, and Urban pissing down his leg...they should have 3-4 losses right now.
I think it all comes to fruition next weekend. People forget how BAD OSU was last weekend. MSU had 89 yards of passing!!
89 yards of passing won't beat PSU. Now there is a game of tape. A let down game. Cold, cloudy 3:30 kick. Mmmmmm, it'll be a waaaaarm night in East Lansing. Perfect POPCORN eating weather.

#10 is probably the best we could've hoped for this week. absolutely amazing and we should all be tremendously proud of the team for that accomplishment.
however, i know we deserve more. so:
penn state, if you've ever won a game in your LIFE, win this saturday. PLEASE. even if it means penn state's defense holds off sparty's offense and scores all the points.
i trust harbaugh & co to take care of business against OSU's dumpster fire of a locker room.
if we get to play iowa, i have every confidence that we can win.
LET'S DO THIS!!!
LET'S ATTACK OSU WITH ENTHUSIASM UNKNOWN TO MANKIND!!!!

also the monsoon in East Lansing that happened for the Indiana drive and then stopped right when they punted
Not that it mattered that much in the game as MSU pulled away in the 4th, but another example of their luck
November 24th, 2015 at 7:49 PM ^
They are a good team but damn so fucking lucky this year
- Adams breaks his finger the week before MSU game. Still has a chance to win with a wide open wr in closeing drive. Overthrows him.
- Purdue was down less than 7 with ball driving midfield vs MSU in closing minute and fucks it up
- rutgers - exact same as Purdue
- UM - FUCK
- OSU - FUCK UPS. Monsoon hits on day MSU loses QB which offsets their inability to throw and makes OSU only run which MSU is great at stopping.
MSU is 5-1 in games decides on last drive or decided at 0:00. They beat OSU and UM leading 0:00 in each game.
They are Notre Dame 2012. FML.
November 24th, 2015 at 8:05 PM ^
They will get exposed like Notre Dame did in 2012 and it will be glorious. Like MSU vs Duke in the Final Four. MSU is not a playoff team, when they go up against a Clemson or Bama it will be a slaughter.

Because that's all people care about...
Here is your road to implosion.
- Michigan win out
- Iowa beat Nebraska, lose to Michigan
- Stanford beat ND, lose in the Pac-12 championship game
- Baylor lose to TCU or Texas
- Florida lose to FSU or Alabama
- Oklahoma beat Oklahoma St.
The top 5 HAVE to happen...(because if Florida beats FSU and Bama, they'll jump us and there is no guarantee Bama falls below us)
#6 would make you breathe easier.
If any of those top 5 don't happen, we're out...we can stop worrying about the playoffs.
This scenario would have Clemson, Bama, Oklahoma, Michigan.
Again, this is really the only road. You have to have the top 5 things happen.

I skipped that part...it's so obvious I missed it after saying it for the entire week.
My bad.
There is that scenario when MSU could win out (above) and both of them make it. However, I'm not sure we don't get jumped if we don't have that Iowa win.
