Michigan a 1 seed in 68-team 2016 college football playoff

Goofy thing ESPN did.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/14966737/what-68-team-co…

I'm gonna post it here because they have an annoying autoplay video that you can't turn off.

We're a 1 seed in the Midwest regional.

(1) Michigan Wolverines vs. (16) Cincinnati Bearcats

(8) Pittsburgh Panthers vs. (9) Arkansas Razorbacks

(5) Georgia Bulldogs vs. (12) Kansas State Wildcats

(4) USC Trojans vs. (13) San Diego State Aztecs

(6) Washington Huskies vs. (11) Virginia Tech Hokies

(3) Tennessee Volunteers vs. (14) Indiana Hoosiers

(7) Washington State Cougars vs. (10) Mississippi State Bulldogs

(2) Clemson Tigers vs. (15) Georgia Southern Eagles

They say we beat Cincinnati and Arkansas to get to the Sweet 16 and that's where the article ends.

I think we'll be really good and all, but this is easily the most hyped Michigan team in the last 15 years or so (maybe longer). I hope people don't meltdown too badly if we lose an early game.

Let's not forget the Minnesota game was the week after one of the most devastating losses we've ever seen. Its amazing they won after that shit show.

The Indiana game came after losing our 2nd or 3rd DL (if you count Ojemudia) for the season. That exposed the awful LBs. It isn't Harbaugh's fault Hoke left no depth.

Are you assuming we'll be injury free this year?  What if we lose a few safeties or LBs?  What if Wormley or Glasgow goes down?  What if O'Korn is a turnover machine?  We still don't have a ton of depth and are just a few key injuries away from a challenging situation.

Don't tempt the football gods. I'm hoping that some of the areas where we have concerns get resolved in the early games.

O'Korn - Jake was in the same position last year but had four years of exposure to B1G football.  Linebacking - Peppers will be used in a scheme that eliminates some of the concerns but beyond that, lots of uncertainty.  O-line has very little depth.

2016 QB will also be throwing to 2016 Butt, Chesson and Darboh. Chesson especially made leaps throughout 2015. It sounds like Darboh may have made an off-season leap already (beware Spring-hype, I know). Game 1 2016 will look/feel much differently for the QB than the Utah game last year...including it not being Utah on the road.

I stand corrected. Started ranked #5, but had a team that was loaded with NFL talent from wall to wall - Henne, Hart, Long, Manningham, etc. Even if we start ranked higher than #5 this year (which could be the case), it will be with far more question marks in my mind. That team had 4-year starters at QB, RB and LT coming back.

it was five, but fans who really watched what went down against OSU and USC and then looked at who we were losing defensively were suspect of the hype.  I thought we would be good(certainly beat App. St. for god sake possibly also Oregon) but I did not see us as NC contenders as many believed.
