Mich v UConn TV showings panic averted EDIT: for some not all

Submitted by San Diego Mick on

Hey folks, I just checked the future schedule for the game on the DTV guide, I get the NYC ABC affiliate and it finally shows our game listed at that time slot.

I also checked the San Diego affiliate for ABC and it was showing KSU v TX earlier but now indicates a TBD, I wouldn't doubt if Mich. game is shown, luckily, I get the NYC channel, yay for me!

I live in Tucson, AZ and as of right now it is showing the texas game on ABC. Hopefully that will change in the next day or so. I understand it's regional but you have a ranked team playing on the road and two shitty teams playing. Come on people!

East coast (DC here) showing GERG on the TV listings.  Does that still count as Michigan football?  Er -- did it ever?  I think not.

But srsly... PANICKING!!!!!

The game isn't being shown on local ABC affiliate (we won't mention WJLA-7's name) (oops), and it's not on The Deuce (does anyone call it that anymore?) (did Clint Dempsey somehow trademark that or something?).  Sooo... ESPN3, you'd think, at least watch it over the Internets invented by Al Gore?  No, it's not on those listings for Saturday night...dozens of FCS games are listed, and I'm sure most of those teams could take us to the wire too, but, not our game.

Where do I find the game??? Short of flying out of town???  And don't gimme this garbage streaming from some European Trash Website Invented By Some Swede Version Of Al Gore, I want a direct feed from good ol' ESPN.  'Murica, damned it.

I live in Michigan so I will be watching :) but I may freak out if one more person asks if it is reverse mirror for the fiftiest damn time. The answer is NO! It will be shown in this half of the country don't worry.

Unless my eyes deceive me or something has not been updated, the Comcast listings here in southwestern Wayne County (about 20 miles east of Ann Arbor) have KSU-Texas on ABC as well with Michigan available on ESPN3 or GamePlan. It could be that this is because of the late announcement and we do get the Michigan game anyway, but it gave me a fright. anyone in SE Michigan confirm? Did I misread it?

I took at look at Xfinity/Comcast's online schedule in Seattle and it looks like it is the Texas game.  I hope that will change, but if not, does anyone know of any "unofficial" streaming sites that are good?  I'm living in corporate housing and am stuck with basic cable, so my options are limited.

I live in saginaw, and our local cable still shows tx/ksu. I highly doubt ABC would not have Michigan football on in Michigan, so maybe some providers just haven't updated their program guide yet.

Sorry NU=Nebraska to me. I abbreviate Northwestern as NW to piss off a few of my Northwestern buddies and I let it carry over. Granted I was asking in metro-Detroit during the World Series but I didn't think one TV was all that big of a deal. I was fine about being told no but the bartender was being rude about it [just needed a no, didn't need additional snark or to have half my drink spilled when you handed it to me, we exchanged pleasentries and I asked to speak to the manager and he kicked me out before a word was spoken].

I've been with DTV since 1995, back in the late 90's when they started adding the Networks to the package, the san diego affiliates were not joined yet, so they offered me NYC & LA ABC & NBC and after the san diego affiliates finally joined sometime later, I was able to keep the out of town affiliates because I was grandfathered in.

I knew it would pay off at various times and this is a case where it does. I pay $3.50 a month/each for both ABC & NBC to have them, it's worth it, if I ever drop them for even one month, I can never get them back even if I wanted to, that's why I kept them.

Nope, definitely no deal struck, which is amazing to me. I don't understand why they can't come to an agreement. Thankfully, though, a friend of mine gave me a login for another cable company, so if it's on WatchESPN, I will be able to see it.
