Miami to self impose a second straight bowl ban this year. This comes in the wake of continuing allegations of improper benefits from boosters.
This is definitely a step in the right direction for Miami, but I always feel a bit of dishonesty when schools--who could be challenging for national titles--forfeit bowl's when their teams aren't so good. Especially when those good teams were the benefactor of the improper benefits. Either way, Miami has been terrible for a decade.

It's beyond the point, i'm sure i'm in the minority, but I feel bad for the U.... i think the SEC is doing weird things to me. I'd root for ND (or any team) against SEC... except one school of course.

The "bad things" you refer to are: Chizik sucking, Dooley sucking and Miami cheating. Those are not random cold-and-unfeeling-universe type issues, those are esentially self-inflicted wounds.

it'll decreass their post season ban, but it won't effect the scholarship hit they are going to take which you have to think will be much worse than USC. If you've seen any pitctures of their home games it has become very obvious that their fan base has become disinterested and this will only make it worse.

This now officially puts a terrible 6-6 (6-5 right now with a crushing at Athens left) Georgia Tech team in the ACC championship game. Hopefully they can match last years 6-8 effort from UCLA.

I remember reading some Miami boards after the Virginia loss, and they had a conspiracy that Miami threw that game so they would be able to forfeit the Bowl this year without forfeiting an ACC-CG
