Lowell scores. King can't stop anything. Just awful tackling.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:28 PM ^
Armani Posey not having a major offer is very surprising. Someone is gonna get a good player.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:29 PM ^
Posey hits LaVert Hill for his 2nd TD of the game and King back within striking distance with 5 minutes left...
November 27th, 2015 at 3:30 PM ^
Lowell hasn't stopped King in a while, either.
38-32 Lowell, XP pending. 4:42 left.
EDIT: 38-34 now. This was a 31-13 Lowell lead at one point.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:31 PM ^
King has much more individual talent. Lowell has 3Xs better coaching.

Donnie Corley hasn't had a lot of targets today, but he looks very smooth.
November 27th, 2015 at 4:22 PM ^
but he's the WR I'd most like to have that was a realistic option. He'll be a very good CFB player.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:34 PM ^
pathetic calls going against Lowell.
Kid from Lowell gets his head ripped off and it's a five yard penatly. Player from MLK gets tackled and Lowell is flagged for 15 after the kids helmet comes off from a clean hit. Holding not being called at all.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:33 PM ^
but tomorrow evening I'll be on the job photographing Chelsea in its first-ever trip to Ford Field. I'm excited for the opportunity to shoot on the field at Ford Field, but as a Chelsea guy I'm also excited to see my hometown team on the big stage.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:34 PM ^
My game is next.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:34 PM ^
If King gets a stop, they're gonna win this game.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:38 PM ^
Good grief. That MLK defensive line is undisciplined. And that one might have cost them a state title.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:38 PM ^
Absolutely hilariously bad coaching by King.
They've been drawn offsides 3 times now by a fake motion play. You'd think they'd be told to not jump after the first time.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
at some point its on the players to get it done. i dont know the coaching situation there so cant really comment. but harbaugh and his staff do a solid job of coaching yet flags have been raining down on OL and DL over past few games. tough to blame m coaches in those type situations - dont know king coaches but im guessing the players have been coached up on the rules and realize presnap penalties can swing a possession / game
November 27th, 2015 at 4:15 PM ^
Those guys on the field have known since probably 4th grade not to jump offsides. You can't dictate the movement of 11 guys on each play like a video game.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:38 PM ^
Discipline and Coaching was the difference in this game
November 27th, 2015 at 3:40 PM ^
We're not done here yet. Lowell's got about another 18 feet to go.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:40 PM ^
I was at the WOLL/MCC game this morning. Brutal game from an offensive standpoint,

Having played on two state title MCC teams, this is how all of them have been won - our 12th state title overall, I believe.
Those were two potent offenses shut down by two skilled defenses. It was a beauty to watch, especially considering which team took the title. It was MCC's third straight.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:41 PM ^
This is going to be one hell of a finish, one way or another.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:53 PM ^
You called it!
November 27th, 2015 at 3:43 PM ^
95 yards to go for King. 37 seconds to go for Lowell.
Here we go.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:44 PM ^
I thought that was going to be a bigger play than that.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:44 PM ^
Hill looks like he could be a good slot guy
November 27th, 2015 at 3:47 PM ^
I'll take Evans, but I agree.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:45 PM ^
Obvious clock stop ploy is obvious.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:48 PM ^
One play.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
TD King.
King wins on the last play of the game.
Holy shitfuck.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
Wow!! King wins on the hail mary. Epic.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
Corley!!!!!!
November 27th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
OH MY GOD KING WINS THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ON A HAIL MARY
November 27th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
Corley for the win!!
November 27th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
Holy shit
November 27th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
He's just better than you, Lowell CB.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
Feel bad for the Lowell CB. Dude made a pretty good play on the ball. Still just saw a moment that will haunt him the rest of his life
November 27th, 2015 at 3:53 PM ^
He was right there with good coverage. He just wasn't able to gather himself to jump for the ball while Corley could....hellofa play
November 27th, 2015 at 3:54 PM ^
There's not much more Lowell could have done on that last play.
November 27th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
Speechless
November 27th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
False start too, oops
November 27th, 2015 at 3:53 PM ^
Lowell out coaches King all game and then decides on the last play of the game to play Corley 1 on 1???

Of course Corely was the one who made the catch on the final play. He's almost assuredly going to MSU and they only win big games on the final play.
November 27th, 2015 at 8:20 PM ^
Apparently he is visiting Michigan
November 27th, 2015 at 4:07 PM ^
King didn't deserve to win.
November 27th, 2015 at 4:13 PM ^
Lavert sick
At wr too
November 27th, 2015 at 5:34 PM ^
He is a MHSAA scholar athlete and by the luck of draw got this game at Ford Field. I have never seen an ending like that in high school. I am still stunned they won.
King had about 20 guys on the field when Lowell was ready to punt for the last time and inexplicably didn't pull the trigger. One obvious snap and it's game over for Lowell. King has so many mental mistakes/penalties you wondered how they would even get back in the game, let alone win.
Oh well that's why sports are great.

I'm the oc at lowell. thanks for tuning in. love this blog. go blue!
