MGoVideo.com streaming video stress test

Submitted by karpodiem on

hey guys, I've been working on my streaming video project quite a bit lately; I've got it to the point where I feel comfortable having a public beta of it.

If you could, try out the following link and seek to a random position in the video - http://mgovideo.com/2009_WMU.php

From the few people that have tried it out so far, they've said it works well.

If you're having some trouble with it, please let me know the following information so that I can troubleshoot the issue

1) Speed of computer; processor speed/RAM

2) Browser version - Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.

3) At what point of the stream you encountered an issue - when it started, when you seeked to a random position on the timeline, etc.

Thanks! This should be rather popular in the Fall :)

Video works well (no chops yet), but whenever i try to skip through this window asking me to share/embed comes up.  Maybe I'm doing it wrong, I don't know.

I noticed that happens when you click slightly above the timeline. I figured it wasn't broken so I didn't note it before but it was a definite annoyance. If you are going to keep that, I would make it take the bottom 10-20% of the video and make it translucent.
