But that's a HORRIBLE reason.

Peppers is clearly trying to chase down and catch up to Chesson to celebrate and Chesson knows he's past everyone and likely isn't running 100%. He also had to run further than Peppers.

It's not like you put both on the goal line and told them "go" and they ran a 100 yard dash in a straight line.

It's also like Harbaugh has seen them race each other at some point. At least more likely than any of us have ever seen them race.

Using the kickoff return as justification makes no sense for a number of reasons.

I have a lot of respect for Pat Fitzgerald. He doesn't have an easy job to begin with, and his team just got whipped. He handled that presser EXTREMELY well, giving credit where it was due, identifying the plays that were kind of lucky for us, and refusing to throw anyone under the bus. I know he's basically Coach for Life at NW, but this man deserves a better gig some day.

the talent is finally being coached up. Most of these guys were recruited here as top notch players with talent. Now we have the coaches that have unleashed the talent. This team is only going to get better. The OL is really improving, they handled a tough NW DL! This team is beginning to gel and under Harbaugh it will continue to improve. The team has its confidence back and I think Harbaugh will make sure they will not get over confident!

Has anyone seen a reverse angle of Lewis' INT? I wasn't able to watch the second half live, and all the highlights are the primary angle where you can't really see how Lewis got the ball out of the receiver's hands.
