MgoQuestion: When is OT not allowed?

Submitted by JR's Flow on

I know in the Mgoboard FAQ it says during the football season, off topic topics are not allowed. When does this go in to effect since we are less than two weeks away?

Good, because I was about to post my thoughts on many of the political and religious issues of the day and am glad to see i still can.

I would rather we have a second board for off topic posts. This may sound weird, but I like how on the RCMB they can talk about anything and get the opinions of people who have the same interests as myself.

they have a recruiting board too. And Buckeye Planet has boards for each OT. Say we get a random OT board, a recruiting board, a baseball board, ect. Obviously to complement the MGoBoard which would remain mostly about football and Michigan. That could be cool.

The moment the sum total of posts with 51% or more of negative MGoFeedback in response to OT is greater than the sum total of posts with less than 51% of negative comments in response to being OT.

Or, you know, 12:00 noon Sept 3.

Does he start it the beginning of game week? August 29th this year?

<br>And for those worried about baseball (etc.), he's always been considerate enough to allow one NFL thread, or one thread for outstanding occurrences...like a Tigers playoff game might be. But multiple "did you hear about X baseball player?" type threads in a day? Forgetaboutit. At least if things don't change, and we don't abuse it.

That's right. OT lockdown goes into effect Monday. Local pro sports is tolerated if infrequent. College football OT but tolerated. Big Ten and opponents are on topic always, which never prevents people from putting up OT warnings on posts about Ohio State.
