As if we needed to be reminded again that MSU is in the Final Four (and we're not), the UM Dep't of Public Safety is sending us a message on behalf of MSU as to how not to participate in general chaos/rioting... In the words of Jimmy Fallon, "Really?" ________________________________________________________________ Dear U-M students: As you may know, Michigan State University will participate in the NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis this weekend. It will be an exciting time for many people, including many students from other Michigan universities. For those of you traveling to East Lansing, we would like to offer a few suggestions in order to help you stay safe and have a positive experience this weekend: -- Do not block and streets or sidewalks. -- Keep moving and avoid large crowds. -- Know and obey the laws regarding alcohol use. -- If you are of legal age to drink, use alcohol in moderation. Stay in the blue. -- Stay low-key; don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself. The energy of the competitions and the spirit of the games are contagious and create an atmosphere of celebrations. Please help us create a safe environment and celebrate with spirit and class. You can find more information on 'Frequently Asked Questions: Celebrating During the NCAA Basketball Tournament' at: http://msu.edu/celebrations. We look forward to a tremendous game on Saturday. Sincerely, Laura Blake Jones Dean of Students Ken Magee Executive Director U-M Department of Public Safety
