Great link after every game to see who, and where, everyone played (but doesn't help with how much they played).  Also gives you a great head-start on "burned redshirts" for the freshmen (barring any "medical" issues that come up in the future).

But, here is a question that I have:   Jareth Glanda is listed as a Special Teams player at the position of "SS".   What is a special teams "SS"   (I even tried the googles and the interwebs for insight with no avail)

I've never seen that before, but maybe he was the "Short Snapper."  Maybe he snapped on extra points, whereas Tom Pomarico was the "LS" (Long Snapper).

Yes, this is exactly right.  They are distinguishing between a "Short Snapper" (for place kicks) and a "Long Snapper" (for punts).  This is the first time in at least 10 years that Michigan has used 2 different specialist snappers for scrimmage kicks.
