Here is a nice feature on Haylie Wagner signing with the Pennsylvania Rebellion of the National Pro Fastpitch league:

She is a class act and truly personifies what Team 38 was all about. She has a bright future ahead of her, and will represent Michigan well in all that she does.
Good for her - wishing her the best of luck
Quite a great story. Storied career she had, too. One of three pitchers ever here to win 100 games.
$6,000 for a 3 month season (June-August). Are there other ways for a woman's softball player to make a living in the sport?

and Haylie did say in the video interview that she will go play in Italy later in the summer/early fall.
Here is an NYT article from two years ago about pro softball players and how they make it, mainly by heading to international leagues:

Great to see that she'll get more opportunities in the circle. A great pitcher for sure. I really wish there were an NPF team in my area, because I'd definitely go check out a game or two, especially when Michigan grads are playing. Maybe in the future. Regardless, that video was a great little tribute to Haylie & really shows how much the game & this school have meant to her personally. We don't always see that side of things, and people joke about it, but at it's best, sports changes lives for the better - that's why another coach of ours likes to sign things "sincerely yours in football". :)
