COUNT ME IN. The only problem I'd have is deciding which of my 10 different MGoBlog shirts to wear that day..
I'm bringing the cheese brats!

So, I have the day off and am a little bored. Well, better start looking ahead to the spring game!
With an ample amount of time for proper execution, I call on Brian, Tim, Paul, FA, and the entire mgoblog community to begin planning for an awesome mgoblog tailgate for the spring game on April 17th. Because September 4th vs UCONN seems like light years away, the spring game is the next best thing we have to look forward to (sorry bball and hockey). Let's beat the 50,000 some mark set last year and support our boys. And as a plus, most of the improvements to the stadium will be done for us to check out.
I would love ([email protected]!) to see the Michigan spring game get to the wild and slightly insane levels of attendance set by the SEC schools every year. Also, there will probably be a bunch of recruits there so seeing a bunch of drunk, rabid fans show up to a scrimmage in the middle of April has got to be good, right? RIGHT.
So mgobloggers, what do you think? I know something similar was done last year in terms of a tailgate but whatever, let's do it bigger and better this year.
P.S. That is an awesome time of year in a2 (fingers crossed that the weather behaves well) so after the game outdoor patios at places like Dominicks, Charleys, Main Street, or wherever you might like to go will probably be open. JUST DO IT.
EDIT: Perhaps this should be a Diary. Moderators, if ya agree make the appropriate switch.

Don't you mean to end your post with "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING"?
haha, yeah I didn't even think about that.
I don't want to kill the buzz and energy of this post, but it's a tough one to make for out of towners like myself.
I do agree though that we should show strong support. I hope somehow I could make it work. Anyone within 3 hours driving has no excuse!!
I would like to attend this fine event. Is there an Mgoblog tailgate protocol? I have not been to a game since I was just a wee lad.
If MGoJen brings her MGoCookies, I'll be there. If not, I'll probably still be there.
White chocolate macadamia nut okay? I made them again yesterday, they're awesome!
That'll do. Thank you kindly!
Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Dammit,
I'm driving 20 hours straight through to Florida on the 17th.
Dammit.
The game replay, including the alumni flag football game, was available to watch after the fact online last year. I'd assume the same will be made available this year.
Denying you my in-the-flesh awesomeness is what is so hard.
I'm weeping for the baby childrens.
Someone really needs to start a "Who will be the Spring Game starting QBs?" thread. We haven't seen one of those yet today.
3...2...1...
How many games will Michigan win this year?
How many games does Rich Rod need to win to keep his job?
have we heard anything about this guy yet? his recruiting video looks like the real deal and i would love to see him in blue this fall.
This program will never succeed until they ["Family Values"].
4 if Devin redshirt... he needs to start. Tate isn't fast enough to run this offense
be in if i wasnt about 10000 miles away. I really really wish i could go to a tailgate again or even a football game but its not gonna happen for the next 8 years or so. At least i have you guys and mgoblog to keep me updated on everything MICHIGAN.
Damn man, are you in a Turkish prison or something?
Alan Garner: Gambling? Who said anything about gambling? It's not gambling when you know you're gonna win. Counting cards is a foolproof system.
Stu Price: It's also illegal.
Alan Garner: It's not illegal. It's frowned upon, like masturbating on an airplane.
Phil Wenneck: I'm pretty sure that's illegal too.
Alan Garner: Yeah, maybe after 9/11, where everybody got so sensitive. Thanks a lot, bin Laden.
HAS NO EXCUSE TO MISS IT! <-- yes, I am yelling..
I love the recruiting boost we can generate from a big spring game attendance. Its worth the drive from Chicago to AA.
Can I be the first nerd to point out that a lightyear is a measure of distance, not time?
He's from Hong Kong. He was referring to distance.
i will be attending this will be my first spring game ever i cant wait. My wife whose a big osu fan will be in attendence with me!!! We need to turn her blue.
Im 8 hours away, but March and April, are the 2 months pre-preseason for me. A gym and a hotel are all need (besides the cheap beer and meat tubes).
Definitely not in a prison. Im however in my own country and banned from the states for 10 years so i have about 8 left unless something changes for the better and i can come back.
I bet she looked 18!
Is this directed at me????
TOUCHDOWN!
Well played, sir.
I will probably be there. But I need to know where and when this event will be held (the tailgate, not the spring game. i'm not a complete idiot).
I will definitely be attending, can't wait until March 14th when we start practicing so we can actually see some football highlights.
S&C session transcripts aren't enough?
"~ Will Campbell lifts weight. Lowers weight. Repeats several times.
~ Barwis yells something about wolves.
~ Mike Martin lifts weight. Lowers weight. Repeats several times. He appears to be quite well suited to lifting and lowering heavy objects.
~ Brendan Gibbons attempts to lift weight. Fails to do so. Barwis consumes his soul."
Mike Martin does lift and lower heavy objects very well, but he's actually more well suited to breaking them in two. Especially if they come in scarlet and gray.
Except Mike Martin won't be doing any of that until after the Spring Game because of his surgery back in December.
But according to the Media Outlet That Shall Not Be Named, Martin has been lifting with three limbs as of January. I'd guess that they have him on some very, very basic lifting to rehab the shoulder by now.
And by "very, very basic lifting," I mean cars. Possibly trees.
Two snarling wolves.
Get to it, 'shoppers.
I'm there, as stated in every other MGoBlog Tailgate thread. Just need to know where we're running it from.
So are we basically waiting for Brian and/or Tim to name a place?
I'm pretty sure that's what they did last year if I am remembering correctly. I remember Brian being pretty apprehensive/unsure about the whole thing since...well this is the internet and we are going to meet in person. I think it worked out well last year, though I wasn't in attendance.
I will be there for sure. My and my pops attended last year, and this year we're bringing down 8-12 others with us. It's going to be a great time!
for the first time. Bring two other freinds also. How long does the scrimmage last?
Sorry if I am out of place but I found the event on facebook and wanted to post it. So here ya go http://touch.facebook.com/#/event.php?eid=331300821638
Good find...I was freaking out for a second though because that's a link to the touch site.
Oh my. I'm so sorry. Here is the better link. http://www.facebook.com/?sk=events#!/event.php?eid=331300821638
We will be there, even if the where is not posted, you cannot hide from us we will find you. We will bring meat and beer to consume with those of like mind.
