MGoBlog Fall Survey
We all have different opinions, which is why I love coming to this site; but I wanted to put together a survey to try and create a collective idea of what we expect come Week 1.
So it's broken down by position, and I just want you to rank the players by what you expect in the upcoming season. Not what we will see Saturday, but who is gonna be where when we play Utah in September. Save the "we have no idea, the season is far away" comments, I know that.
Hope y'all enjoy. If you do, I will have no problem following up with the results a little later.
DISCLAIMER: This survey means absolutely nothing, if the results are different from your own, then this is wrong and you are right.
EDIT: Also rank 1 being the best.
Please post results when sample size is large enough. Thanks for putting it together.
And what about Special Teams? Us Kickers matter, dagnabbit!
Defensive Line was the most diffucult for me to rank
Same here. Espcially depending on the style they play which is unknown now (like if they try more 3 man lines or 2-gap it could change the personnel). Plus Mone is a big unkown right now; could be very good, but still a true sophomore NT. But still, I liked the fact that I was thinking 'man, all these guys could be really good' when ranking the DL.

I'd expect all 6 of those guys to play more (if healthy) than all but the top 2 or 3 who are listed at DE. I'd expect 3 of them to be in the game when we run the 3-4ish defense they were talking about.
The history of Family Feud hosts is a pretty amazing situation (and dark). I hope Steve Harvey breaks the streak - I like that dude, he cracks me up.
That woman has a perfect rack.
Isn't Wormley an SDE now though?
Yeah, I messed that one up. There's been so much moving around on the DL.
I think we're going to see so many different fronts that the difference is going to be academic.
I found the WRs somewhat hard to rank. There seems to be about 8 guys I could see being the starters.
I struggled there too. I suppose we'll know at least a little bit more after Saturday.
And none of them are proven making it that much harder

Same. Canteen and Chesson are so unknown but seem to have so much potential, based on what we've heard "insiders" say in the past . . . Ways reshirted, Cole was such a highly ranked recruit. No idea after Darboh.
I don't get putting the true freshman on here. We have never seen them play 1 down at this level. A few years ago you'd have Pipkins, Kalis, and Green as #1 or #2 at their position based on HS starz before they played.
And you never saw Mason Cole play before last spring game either. How would you have judged where he stood?
I wan the results right
MEOW!
Actually, I will admit that I had a little trouble ranking a few of the position groups simply based on a lack of data on some players. I very much doubt we'll get anything Earth-shattering out of Saturday, but I think everyone's "gut reaction" to the roster might be interesting to get here, and then compare those results to the actual "depth chart" (which might not be the depth chart, of course) published a few days before the game. Come to think of it, can we do this again in mid-August to get a recheck on everyone's opinion? That could be interesting too.
There were like 6-7 guys who all seem capable of being in the top 3
Dang, 125 respondents already. When I get home from work this evening I will post the results.
Sorry! Everyone on Michigan sucks!

I know everyone had pallante as FB #1 right?
I would love to see survey results before the spring game and then afterwards.
This was fun! And it was really, really hard to do for some of the spots. Depth is better than I thought.
Pretty cool idea. Thanks for posting.
