MGoBlog Discord Server (UPDATED WITH INVITE)

Submitted by Tate on

Just started using Discord today, and was wondering if anyone has started/is planning to start a Michigan sports Discord server?

For those who aren't familiar, Discord was made as a chat alternative for gamers to talk to their friends (both voice and text) but has seemed to become a useful app for various online communities.

Not really sure how setting one up works, and thought I would post here to check first.

Would be great for game chats.

Thoughts?

Here is an invite link to the site: https://discord.gg/QT75F6F

I've heard good things about it from my gamer friends who use it. I'm too lazy so someone should make a mgoblog server so we can test it.

I actually think this is a really good idea and should be some fun.

It's super easy/quick to setup a server.  I think it'll probably be better if someone with the site creates it rather than myself but, if nobody ends up doing anything official, I can spin something up.

I'm afraid that my perceived voice associations with MGo posters would be shattered by reality. When you expect a Sean Connor voice and get the Waterboy I think it would make my world collapse!

Love Discord. Much better than ts3, ventrilo, mumble. I came across r/cfb starting to use it now. I'll join whenever I get on my home PC.

Been on Discord for a minute since we decided to stop living in 2000 and switched from IRC.

If there is a channel I shall join it.
