MGOBLOG Android App Issues.

Submitted by WingsNWolverines on
Hey everybody I've been experiencing some really bad issues with this app update it is not letting me post comments and everytime I do it holds for a minute the screen goes to black background with a notice box that says and keeps saying "mgoblog application has stopped" Is anybody else experiencing this? Not going to lie here its pissing me off. Could the designers of this app please look into this issue for Android. I have a galaxy sIII by the way. Thank you.

Half the battery life, poor reception in comparison, not the best screen resolution, apps are pay, music you pay, I Tunes sucks, memory is capped, based off an old design, platform locked, nav sucks, and the I Phone app acted up a while back as well. The I-phone barely changes and you line up to buy that garbage. Yes I love my MacBook Pro, but that isn't a reason to buy an I Phone.

You clearly don't have an iPhone. I charge my iPhone 5 once every other day. I have LTE 95% of the time. Retina display looks fantastic. Jailbreaking allows you to change your phone in pretty much anyway you want. I could even run an android theme. iPhones are incredibly crafted and made. iPhones are excellent phones, stop hating.

Once I try to enter my comment the pop up box comes up with two options, "force close" or "report problem". I've reported it twice, hopefully there will be an update soon.

The app worked fine (version 3.0.2) when I first installed it, but now I'm back to not being able to post again similar to you.  Not sure what has happened to cause the problem since there haven't been subsequent updates....

and I could post fine for the first week, but I can't anymore.  It also sometimes switches between starting with the first post and starting with the most recent.

Not a huge deal, but I thought I'd chime in for improvement's sake.  Still love the work the developer did.   Thanks.

speeds and free wi-fi being available in more and more places my desire for the app has dwindled considerably. Hopping on the actual site from my Galaxy S3 is a much better option, even before the problems arose.

Edit/P.S. Will never go back to iPhone. I went from Blackberry to iPhone and that is/was a no brainer and a huge upgrade. When I went to Android over iPhone the differences weren't nearly as drastic but definitely better.

I'm in the same boat.  I was able to post comments about a week ago, but just went and tried from my phone (HTC Droid DNA) and go the dreaded application error.  Sad face.

Confirmed same problem on my Galaxy Nexus, running 4.1.1.

EDIT: @OP I would advise a more descriptive thread title. Maybe throw a META on the front, then a short description of the problem ("can't post comments using Android app"). It will help drive more people here (including the dev). Honestly, when I first saw your thread title, I thought this was just going to be a whine-fest of annoyances with the app, rather than a legitimate problem.

I'm not able to see the comments or post them on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Jellybean.

EDIT:  Okay, figured it out.  Stupid human.

Also, its a free app on a free site, so don't let it piss you off.  Now, having to pay for a premium cable TV package when Big Ten Network is the only channel you care about, that's something that you should get pissed off about.

I have a rooted GS3 running CM 10.1 nightlies and mine works fine. Might just be Touchwiz going crazy. As far as iPhone vs Android, get whichever you want. The iPhone 5 is actually very good (if VERY similar to the 4S) and you have a pick between some great phones from great manufacturers with Android. The Droid DNA, the GS3, the Note 2, Nexus 4 (although lack of 4G is a huge buzzkill.) it's all about how much you want to spend and whether you like iOS or Android. I like Android, I paid $100 for a Verizon GS3 with stock 4.2.2.

I'm running version 3.0.2 of the app on a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit.  Tried to comment from there and it crashed.

To the developers of the app - I appreciate that you do this app for free out of the goodness of your heart, so thank you!. I love the layout of V3 compared to V2.  I do hope you can get this comments bug fixed soon though!
