MGoApology

Submitted by Wolverine318 on

This is my mgoapology. I apology to everyone for the comments I made earlier about Justin Turner. I got caught up in the drama of everyone making woah is me posts and I seriously could not see the big deal. I understand Justin is a five star recruit with great potential if only he would clean up his attitude. Losing a player with his potential always hurt. Heck it hurt when we lost Carson Butler for all of his head caseness. If Justin does come (which it sounds like there is small chance he is going to go back on his transfer request), it doesn't change my attitude towards him. He still needs to get his butt in gear to be a contributing member of the team.

I for one should understand what Justin is going through, as I almost transferred after my fresman year at Purdue to Michigan. I stuck it out and I became a better person out of it. If Justin's he will also be a better person and he will earn a Michigan degree.

I think my real issue with is that he wouldn't have rescinded his statements if the Turner coming back thread hadn't appeared. It wasn't one asinine comment, there were at least 5 in the thread about how much of a waste of space Turner was and so on and so forth. I don't know, I guess I'm not one to let someone put their foot in their mouth so quickly. But I suppose if the board can let it go so easily I'll let it go.

Darn, I was hoping this was an apology to me because I said Tate seems kindve like a douchebag a couple months ago, and now Troy Woolfolk has called him basically a leper and Rich Rod hasn't come to Tate's defense.

Looks like some people on the team think Tate's kind've a douchebag too. Too bad most people on this board can't see that.

Would be more along the lines of people coming to terms with the fact that I was right. I obviously wrote the post tongue in cheek (no, I didnt think this was actually an apology thread for me) since people don't like to admit they're wrong, especially over the internet.

There were countless posts about how Tate was amazing and everybody loved him on the team, and how there's NO WAY he is a douchebag. Now it turns out some of players, including a senior leader, feel the same way and RRod isn't coming to Tate's defense. Read Tate's quotes in interviews, or look at how he lets his dad run his facebook. If he were on another Big Ten team we'd all be saying what a jerk he is.

Keep wearing the maize + blue glasses and automatically worshipping every UM football player regardless of his actual character.

Awesome! Is there also a report that he'll stop letting his dad put down Denard on his facebook wall of shame? Or stop pretending like he "never gets nervous"? Or actually show up to summer workouts? Oh right the only reason I singled out Tate is because he doesn't talk to me, whereas literally the entire rest of the team (that I didnt call out) must definitely therefore chat with me regularly.

I heard Troy Woolfolk also thinks Tate is diseased because Tate doesnt talk to him in the cafeteria. That's clearly the only reason to dislike the guy.

Good manning up. But tweaking the board for insanity caused by things that maybe aren't the end of the world, as long as one isn't being a douche about it, is valuable to this board. I only have a problem when you call out some teenager just because he doesn't play football up to your expectations, treating him like he stole your girlfriend or something. Someone like Boren leaves, firing shots, it's on like Donkey Kong. But we don't know the what and wherefore. Mallett leaves, gets slagged, but ends up saying nice things about The program. And now Turner...you never know. And signing a letter of intent isn't asking for heinous name-calling. (You know, unless said player did do your girlfriend, then have at it...).
