we get a 3 or 4 hour window of light or no rain, then a pretty steady rainfall around or just after kickoff.

Mgo badge of survival 2012
Don't look at the radar. It is depressing.
Is pioneer open?
I heard it is from someone at our tailgate at Fingerle lumber. Nothing on twitter as well.
That NW game was terrible. 30's, rain/snow, no bowl game and lost to NW....terrible.
I've had alligator, but never crocodile. Does it taste like chicken?
yes, it does
In 2008 I learned that Michigan fans do not disintegrate in water. Stay dry!
I dint wear socks to the nw game. At the time this was dumb but now I can repeat this story every time it rains to shame those considering leaving early.
I honestly NEED to know why you decided to go sock-less. It's bothering me in the depths of my soul.
My guess is boat shoes? Can't wear socks with those or else the fashion police will arrest you.
Honestly, I was late to a tailgate and I think already drunk trying to leave my dorm room. Undergrad decisions aren't always the best decisions.
caused me to go streaking in south quad b/c my first stop after the game was the laundry room to throw my clothes in th dryer.
...did you only own one set of clothes???
Clothes went in laundry before I went to room to get dry ones. At the time I assumed the dryers on my floor would be taken if I delayed at all.
It's not going to be pleasant, but I doubt it's going to rank in the top ten of nasty games. Certainly not badge worthy. I just hope the lightning stays away so we don't have to be in it till midnight.
1995 Purdue, 2007 Ohio State, 2008 Northwestern... I did give away my tickets, but today wouldn't have even made my top 3.
With '95 and '08 probably 1-2, then OSU and games we can't even remember. If it rains as hard as it has been, Western Michigan last year might be worse. Warmer, but I was drying everything I owned for weeks, even wrapped in plastic.
Heck, Purdue used to be regularly scheduled in early November and the weather always seemed to suck.
You don't get your badge until you've actually survived the whole game. There's a legitimate chance of not doing so...
Badge me up then.
Not as bad? Are you sure there is a comparison?
Sitting through shite weather and watching the team lose to a bad team-- that is significant! Watching the team go Death Star in moderately unpleasant weather is expected.
We have one game like this every year. It was damp and a little chilly, but it wasn't anywhere near '95 Purdue or '08 Northwestern as far as fan discomfort goes.
This definitely does not qualify as Fandom Endurance IV. In my opinion, a FE badge can only be given for a game in which 1) M loses and 2) is miserable weather for the entirety. I think preference would be given for cold / rain / snow, but I would also be willing to give the badge if temps soared above 90 degrees with no cloud cover.
In that weather, you deserve the badge.
I can proudly say that I was at both the 2008 Northwestern game and the 2010 Purdue game. I imagine myself as an old man telling my grandchildren about that northwestern game and how horrible it was, but I stayed till the bitter end. I drove from St. Louis too.
If you didn't live through 1995, which made Northwestern seem like a sauna, you haven't been to even the worst Purdue game. At least it was a win, rather than the 2008 crap on crap.

Yes, but only an estimated 19,000 people actually stayed to the very end of the game in 2008.
