meta: what do you love about the site?

I'd say for me it would be the diary posts. it's like  a mini-main page.

what say you?

I visit the site every few hours for updates from the mgoboard. This will also sound kissass but the lightning quick regulation by the mods is huge for me. I used to naively browse the MLive forums sometimes - the trolling is just unbearable. Never again.

But the content I look forward to most is Brian's post-game analysis and reflections. He's brutally honest and manages to include just enough humor so that it doesn't seem forced. Also the scientific attitude toward game strategy is a big plus. I can't say I read through each entire UFR, but the drive for objective analysis from this site is something you don't really get from other U-M sports blogs.

The writing by the MGoStaff, the snark on the board, the opinions on beer on the drinking threads, etc. Once you skip over the few meaningless, asinine posts, what's not to like?

If I had to choose one thing, it would be that on MGoBlog, you get to engage with the highly engaged and admittedly more obsessive fans of Michigan athletics and really just about everything Michigan related. Sometimes, it leads to some contentious discussions, but such is life in an intelligent, informed and probably highly dysfunctional (but proud of this fact) family.

The humor.

MGoBlog humor is its own category. Outsiders just don't understand. This is why we see some people flame out because they can't handle a ribbing.

Whether it's the funny writing in the front page content or on the boards with the sarcasm, inside jokes or just seeing other people argue with each other.
