While this is true, I've noticed that totals do change if you refresh the page - not that people will do that or keep track of their points, but I upvoted a few folks as a test this morning and it is working behind the scenes even though the live updates are not. That being said, I imagine some folks will be pleasantly surprised (or unpleasantly) when they refresh pages today, particularly in certain threads.
