Title says it all.
spoiler alert: i linked this
That's just, like, your opinion, man.
True. Unless the title doesn't say it all. Or unless you want to repeat information twice.
Unless you like repeating it twice. Or if "all" isn't what the title actually includes. True.
Do you understand that the world does not revolve around you and your do whatever it takes, ruin as many people's lives, so long as you can make a name for yourself as a[ hating repeated infor on MGoBlog guy], no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied along the way, just so long so you can make a name for yourself as a[ hating repeated infor on MGoBlog guy], no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied and dying along the way?
Do I put anything after that?
How about this:
"Title says it all" is a logical fallacy, if followed by more information.
No longer an opinion.
What do you mean?
Title says it all shouldn't be used. If the OP can make a thread, put some effort into it.
That's what I wanted to say.... but I couldn't well have put that in my OP, now could I?
Such a conundrum.
Title says it all
the thread should be immediately locked as well.
when did it become the norm to reply "absolutely!" instead of "yes" or "correct" or "that's right" when someone is being interviewed on TV or radio?
I believe this happened sometime in the middle of the last decade. It annoys me as well, and I have never used "absolutely" in that context. Ever.
What's wrong with this? There's nothing wrong with being emphatic. I will do this at work. If someone asks me if my company can offer something or if my product can do something, I will answer "absolutely." Simply saying "yes" is succinct but lazy. If you asked your friend if XYZ hotel was nice and he said "yes" would you hurry up and book your stay? "Did you enjoy your trip to ABC island?" "Absolutely!" Now you're excited!
The point is that people use "absolutely" so often that it completely loses meaning-- when everything is emphatic, nothing is. So just say "yes" or "right" or "correct" most of the time and save absolutely for when it's genuinely a point of emphasis you're trying to make. Unless you're emphatic about every damn thing, in which case, I pity the poor son of a bitch who is the other party in the conversation.
Does your Title say it all?
Subject says it all.
Don't really care on this issue. My life would be miserable if I cared whether people put text after saying "Title says it all."
While we're on this sort of topic, anyone who still uses the phrase "nuff said," should strongly consider smoking a cigarette while bathing in lighter fluid.
That says it all.
Meta: Nice thread
You are on mobile and you have to post a subject and a comment?
^This comment said "Hahahaha, foolish mortals" in blank-title-subject-speak.
not only pissed in your Cheerios, but did unspeakable things with your spoon.
I think that the risk we run here is illustrated below. Does the title say it all?
But if they added "amidst thickening scarcity" then also no.
Are we trotting out pet peeves?
It goes without saying, obviously, that if you start a sentence with "As you know," you should shut up right there.
To say the least.
It goes without saying
literally means to stop at the first word (and that at minimum, 3 people are involved in the discussion). Otherwise, likely someone else will find a way to say less than you, which then by definition would negate your claim.
It should go without saying.
it gets deleted
I really hate it when people say or write 'look' before making an argument.
begin the answer to every question with "I mean...."
Need not be explained.
The brain named itself
You should not follow it with a fact
It would be funny if you responded to me with, "Absolutely".
If your not watching the 'World Wars' on the History Channel...your missing out.
and just watched most of episode 3. Now recording it on the DVR to rewatch soon, along with the other 2 episode.
History Channel is doing a great job with the material, given that they had to condense everything down into 3 2-hour episodes.
They usually put on a good show with their content.
'The Bible' was awesome as well. I'm not religious, but the way it was presented was awesome. Interesting stuff.
Title says it all.
the new president of the universe?
Title says it all probably isn't thread worthy...
Title says it all.
...I think that's thread worthy. May be douchey to put it like that, but still worth discussing.
Interesting that Hitler escaped death so many times in World War I.
As you know, 'nuff said
This is the first picture that came up...
...so I thought I should share.
