META: The time of the CC has returned.

Submitted by BiSB on

Many years ago, there was a great disturbance in the land. The West Virginian had been vanquished, and the throne sat empty. And there were many threads. The threads upset many in the land who wished not to think of such things. A great accord was reached mong the people, and it was as follows:

Verily, I say unto thee: any thread that shall be upon the topic of a coaching change shall bear the mark of the "CC:" upon its title.

So it was. So it shall be once again. Brace yourselves. It is coming.

I am as well.  I liked the guy and I wanted him to succeed just like the rest of you but here we are again and it is beyond sad.  I feel like my 3 yr old when he lost his favorite stuffed dog.   He slept with it, wiped his nose with it, drug it everywhere, shared his and lows with it.  There is no replacement.  I want my stuffed dog back!

I will say that my strategic position (at least at work) between Metro Airport and Willow Run does provide some opportunity to give on-the-ground reporting too should the need arise, but I am pretty sure the FAA would not appreciate any on-the-tarmac reporting for purposes of passing along information.

just to vent on the state of the program, it needs to say 'FT', for "Fuck This."

Edit: I started typing this before the flight tracker posts were visible above.  Weird.

And lo, the crowd did turn upon the heretic Don, and smote him for blasphemy and treason, saying, "Let his name and his kin be removed from the annals of history," and his head was placed upon a pike, as a warning to those who would forget the words of the prophets, who long ago said, "Do not give Brandon any ideas, dammit."  And thus did Don's avatar come to be a skull with a Michigan hat, for this was all that remained of the blasphemer.

I always thought those discussions were about Command and Conquer, the great PC strategy game. Never really got why people carted so much about planes there when resource management was so much more important

I'd forgotten all about that. I also remember the site crapping out repeatedly from volume and only those with the iPhone app able to provide updates for a while.

Memories.
