... the semi-anonymity of this blog.  I'm sure some of my best friends are on this blog, and it's kinda fun knowing they are here, commenting, but not knowing what their handles/avatars are.  I'll keep it that way, but I will share this.

My best memories are from college or with people I met at Michigan.  It's a time and experience I will cherish forever.  This blog, in a small way, offers me a window into that part of my life.  For that I'm grateful.

They have been building wind turbines from Reese to Ubly. Within the last 2 years we have had 140+ built. Other then that the cow has moved from the corner that you use to turn. So you may have to use GPS to get around. That would be breaking news from around here.

Took me a second to get the Justin & Spike reference. Which reminds me of three things:

  1. That's both an attractive and appropriate avatar. Always liked it.
  2. With the user name "East German Judge," I'm surprised your avatar isn't Katarina Witt.
  3. One of these days, I'm going to change my avatar slightly (to another pic of my better half.)

Name: Lorne

City: Born in Dearborn, raised in Northville and Saline, living in Romulus, MI

High School: Saline, MI (Class of 1996)

Undergraduate: See MGoHandle

Graduate: MBA, Eastern Michigan

HS Mascot: Hornets

Sports: For my school itself, none. In other leagues, baseball for many years.

Hobbies: Reading, modding this blog, music production, movies (watching and being in), various games of strategy (huge fan of anything Hoyle, if you will), podcasting, anything Michigan related, among others.

Fun fact: I was a published author twice over by the time I was 21 years old, not counting numerous articles in various then-fledgling Internet publications. The fact that you have no idea who I am and know that I have a normal-type job speaks volumes to the success of this endeavor.

It rather depends. If you went to school here sometime through the 70s-early 2000s, you may very well have known of my mother if not actually had her as a English teacher in the middle school here. There is at least one person on the board who in fact has had my mother as a teacher at some point. Small world indeed.

Chris Pontiac, MI Pontiac Northern and Cranbrook Kingswood Huskies and Cranes Football, basketball and track 1999 Junior year at The Brook, I'm taking a shower (community showers) and I hear someone come in singing. The voice didn't sound familiar. When I get out the shower, there's Jerry Stackhouse urinating whilst I'm drying off. I wanted to say something but thought it might be a bit awkward. Also my original, neighborhood high school doesn't exist anymore. Pontiac Northern and Central merged to become Pontiac High. Complete with color and mascot change.
