Meta: Subscribing to MGoBlog on Amazon Kindle

Submitted by imdeng on

It seems MGoBlog is a paid subscription on the Amazon Kindle - $0.99 per month. A few quick questions on this:

1. Does anybody has any experience with this? Does this work alright? I remember there was a thread a few days back about accessing MGoBlog through the Kindle's browser - but this is different - a paid feed that is auto delivered.

2. Does Brian get a share of 99 cents a month or is this just Amazon's fee for providing the whispernet auto-delivery?

I don't see myself subscribing to this now that the iPhone app is working wonerfully - but still - something interesting out there.

More details are here: http://www.amazon.com/MGoBlog/dp/B0029U1UP8

1) It's been available for a while and I've only heard positives from people who have it

2) Amazon requires a price. Brian would offer it for free if he could but he has to 'sell' it at the minimum price.

Use the Site Search and I'm sure you'll find Brian and other's thoughts on it

... getting the content on the Kindle is great, but it's not ideal for some of the charts, photos, etc...  If you don't have a smartphone, then it's good.

In general, love my Kindle.  I read more books and I like that it doesn't have a million features (and access to the internet) to distract me.
