Meta: SE Mi Startup article about MGoBlog
Nice write-up, but the last couple of paragraphs are a bit funny.
"Another big part of what makes those revenue streams flow is customer service. While MGoBlog might generate more clicks than major news outlets covering U-M sports or even the athletic department’s website (MGoBlue.com, the inspiration for MGoBlog’s name), Cook's operation is still a small business wandering in the same world as some big institutional giants. That makes customer service even more important.
"The difference isn’t new versus old, it’s small versus big," Cook says. "We are in the same business as anyone who thinks they have something that is better and they are trying to sell to people who don’t know about it." "*

Yeah, I noticed it seemed like one I read some years ago. Per the Way Back machine, it's from November 2013.
Still really cool.
But Brian kept his distance from the whole Fire Brandon thing... ahh, never mind.
Kinda proud to be part of this mgocommunity we have here
"MGoBlog got its start in 2004 as a side project for Cook, a U-M computer engineering graduate and software developer"
I don't know how to be even handed with this comment. I was shocked to read Brian's degree is in software development.

Worked on E3W with him. Brian's incredibly brilliant. Also: his anger gives him his power.
I thought it was his passion for Harbaugh that gave Brian his power.
Not a single mention of the mods, who sacrifice the credibility they don't have daily in order to keep the place from being a complete catastrophe. Well, not a COMPLETE catastrophe....but certainly more readable than it otherwise might be.
In all seriousness though, I swear this is a rehash of an article from a few years ago for the most part, but in any case, it's hard to get a blog quite to the level where MGoBlog is. No small feat in the sports world by any stretch.
Is it based on points, providing content or both! Well keep up the good work MODs!

"Customer service" here really implies "customers served," which I would love to see a chart showing the % of mgobloggers who have indeed been Bolivia'd.
In the discussion of Media Empire, how could the article neglect the film aspect of MGoBlog?

I have read many articles about startup marketing and they all were far from real marketing. They didn't help at all, they touched upon the issues only on the surface. Only when I [SPAM LINK DELETED] about it, I decided to hire professionals which promoted my startup and I think it was the right decision.
