Meta - Request for art

I'm trying to update the MGoBlog iPhone app to support the taller iPhone 5 screen, but I need some new artwork to take up the extra space.  The current iPhone splash screen was kindly provided by Six Zero, but is currently "iphone 4 sized".

What I'm looking for is an image that:

  1. is 640x1136
  2. Doesn't infringe on any University trademarks
  3. Can be used as the splash screen
  4. or.... can be used as the app background.
  5. Splash screen needs have "MGoBlog" clearly visible.

Any input is appreciated and will be credited in the app and/or description.

Any other suggestions are also welcome (I'm aware of the "embedded movie is crazy tall" issue).

Truly is amazing that he was able to create such a significant work of art so quickly. Just goes to prove that monumental things can happen can quickly happen when you combine great talent and inspiration.

I did like how in an old version of the app it told you how many replies were in each topic.

Regarding the appreciation for hard work and showing the # of replies. It was a small feature but helped show the popular topics--especially if you couldn't tell just from the title.



Also, I'm assuming it's not possible to allow app users to moderate and up/down vote?

That died with the last Drupal update in February.  I'll see what I can do because I miss that feature as well.

I'm unfamiliar with the iPhone app and what it looks like and thus what kind of image you're looking for, but if you're just looking for a good Michigan football image, here's one I uploaded one for you at the requested size (click for the full version):

Not even including the shoe stripes.  Have to take out the "Michigan" and block M. And nowadays, the flag, because AMERICA might sue.  

Oh, and the dreads. Everyone knows no Michigan quarterback has dreads in EA.

(And more a question than a correction...do they have the logo on the BACK of the shoes too? Mainly in the vein of "how many damn times can they label something as small as a shoe??")

Apple is somewhat arbitrary with what they object to.  The ipad splash doesn't have a registered trademark (Block M for example), so I assume they let it go.  The "public likenesses" are also somewhat subtle.

Thought an art request was close enough, sorry for the slight thread jacking.  This was a gigipixel picture taken a Michigan last year at the UTL game.   You can find yourself from anywhere in the stadium.. Thought it was cool wanted to share.
