If I were an e-chick, I'd totally blow LSAClassOf2000.
Meta: Hello: LSAClassOf2000 (MGoPoints prize inside)
Man, makes you wonder how Manti ended up with an internet girlfriend with leukemia when there are many more "e-chicks" with loose morals like yourself out there on the interwebz.
That's kind of what you're doing.
Then you know I'm telling the truth.
Gratuitous use of the Upton to bribe LSA for MGo Points...
Not so much about anyone dancing as much as trying to get some semi-useful information out in a fun way. Also, it really has been a good couple days here, with MSU going down and M football finding (hopefully) the right coach for their vacancy.
I hope to remember you just the way you are now. Y'know, just 'gruntled.' Before the MGoInternetz has its way with you, haha
Always remember, you don't need a parachute to go skydiving, but you need a parachute if you want to go skydiving twice.
eh I heard he didn't have a commitable offer from elevenwarriors, don't want him.
First, I welcome LSAClassof2000, whose ability to produce relevant knowledge leads me to believe that he is an android - and I say that affectionately.
On to the unique...
I once had to have my ulnar nerve un-trapped because it was pinched down by something called the Ligament of Struthers, which it turns out only 1-4% of the population has. Darwin wrote about it because he thought it showed a common ancester between humans to other animals, specifically marsupials. In other words, my hand was going number because I have a kangaroo ligament in my arm. Surely this is worth 7.5-11.5 Mgopoints.
You have the ligament. But no pouch. Right?
but it appears you had to spell check "marsupial". Something just doesn't add up here.
No, it makes sense. Aussies aren't the brightest.
Me want points.
Is that creative enough?
posbang? Sorry. I used up most of my creativity back when I got sleep. I got 90 minutes yesterday and missed the second half of the game, and only sort of regret it. Watching BTN replay as we speak.
Well in that case, hey there Mr. New mod...
But seriously, congrats and good luck dealing dealing with us and our neverending quest to prove we can't have nice things!
Need a 40 time and need to know how many fakes it is
but it's 4-4.5 FAKES, easily.
But based on the prodigious content in LSA's posts I'm thinking not much time spent on the track… congrats LSA. Hope you'll still find time to keep churning out your well considered posts.
Expect your brownout a to be browner from now on.
Ya but what about arm length?
His arm length isn't great but his use of his hands to fend off rushing posters and great technique give him a decent shot at starting in a LiveBlog next season.
So you are saying that his arm length is an area that he needs to work on
Congrats LSA! I, for one, enjoy your superfluous use of commas, I think. Just ribbing, ha. This is for you:
So, what's the upshot on the rest of the class?
I like to get my points the natural way. I don't believe in PED usage.
1 pint of whipping cream
1 cup of brown sugar
1 can artichoke hearts
1 stick butter
1 small filleted smelt
1 container of Nair
Soak the cow udders in Nair to remove the hair. Repeat several times if necessary until all hair is removed. Rinse in warm water. Place a stick of butter into a warm frying pan. Wait until all of the butter has melted, then add the cow udders. Fry them for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Chop the artichoke hearts and smelt on a cutting board into fine pieces. In a large bowl, add the whipping cream, brown sugar and the chopped artichokes and smelt. With a mixer on low, whip until creamy with a consistency like vanilla pudding. Remove the udders from the pan and make a long slice down the side of each udder. Spread the pudding mixture into each slit. Serve warm or cold and have an "Udderly Wonderful" snack.
That is hilarious and disgusting. Unfortunately the formatting signals your copy-pasta without attribution.
I was fixing it when you replied, so it's half your fault.
If only we knew a mod who could help......
I think that's above LSAClassOf2000.
I will email Brian and ask him if I can be the post-reply-recipe-format-editor. It's a niche I think we need filled here.
tough recipe, but I'll try it.
I'm sure we can outbid DTE --- prepare for data/charts/cats all over the mgodiaries.
I want the franchise poster tag so I can stay within the top 15, LSA!!!!
2-star boom or bust prospect IYAM
I was thinking more along the lines of
Do we all have to post with "My little pony jabronies" now?
MORE INFORMATIVE HEADLINES PLEASE!!!!
but it just didn't work out.
It appears our security has been compromised. Timing seems suspicious. We've been infiltrated!!!
Did he get the points for guessing closest to the score? He guessed 59-57 M.
It's a Bolivia/returning him from Bolivia issue. My fault.
Whoa. I can only assume he's done his share of e-beejing himself.
Wait, not e-beejing himself, but he himself has been e-beejing...someone.
But how is his pad level?
My cool story from the MSU game - I went to the game with a friend and as is typical for me, I was screaming my head off at the times when I thought it might help our team (on defense, during MSU free throws etc.). There was a State fan who was by himself and sitting next to me. We (and everybody around us) were above the fray and ignored him. He was quiet as well except for muted displeasure about some of the calls. After the MSU three that brought the score to 56-54 he suddenly turned towards me and started screaming in my ear in a mocking tone. I promptly turned to him and started with 'You will always be a typical state fan, but this is Michigan - you better cut it out'. He said 'But you were shouting throughout the game' to which I replied that none of that was directed at him and that is what fans do in their attempt to influence the game in however small a way. I ended by saying that if he wanted to scream/cheer anymore he better look straight ahead or STFU. Rest assured he STFU and politely excused himself after the game.
Great get for the mod class of 2013. Love seeing a 5-star prospect go to the good guys.
I hear people in Ohio are even considering becoming mods.
He'll probably get knocked down to a 4 star. Paysites still do have to sell subscriptions.
And he just gave a guy a pony avatar. With LSA2000 a real mod now, how long before we ALL have My Little Pony avatars?
That should be a question on the non-existent prospective mod questionnaire. I'm guessing like four days to get from one end of the points list to the other.
i can forsee pony avatars being a part of any package trip to bolivia in the future.
How is that a punishme...I mean....what...umm.. yea haha that would be funny. Silly ponies. So lame.
Is this because profitgoblue gave up after that one...uh...interesting thread a few days ago?
because it's not fair to him or to LSA to have 50 comments about it on here, but I will say that profit is cutting back (he even changed his signature earlier) and there wasn't any specific thread or incident that prompted it. He's been talking about it for a while now and decided that the time was right in the past few days; that's why we have this Hello: post tonight.
Like JGB said, I've been thinking about quitting for a while now and that last thread was the perfect reason to make it happen. Its pretty damn stressful and time-consuming to be a moderator. I've been doing it for over 2 years and I think (and you all probably agree) that it was time for some fresh eyes. Congrats to LSA! Good luck to him!
[Edit: And apparently I'm "trolling" with this comment. Thanks for the fitting sendoff, internets!]
Get a real job, hippy.
First and foremost, thanks to all for the support here - it does mean a lot to me. In celebration, I am trying to go through the thread and give everyone an across-the-board 100 point boost, so congratulations to those of you who are now empowered to create threads. Also, the beers are on me tonight - I just have to remember not to use the corporate card, that's all. Further, I promise to remain the only person with a Rainbow Dash avatar willingly, although I am not necessarily above finding avatars to give to wayward posters.
In all seriousness, it might take a bit for me to learn the ropes of the whole mod thing, but if you run across anything that needs a look, I am on Twitter, so feel free to DM me there and I will try to respond promptly (within a few hours on the outside).
Empowers a bunch of people to make threads.
Has to clean up the mess of horrible threads they make.
well deserved promotion good sir!
You didn't guarantee someone wouldn't end up with one of the other ponies.
We can do some practice runs if you want. Maybe someone can go make a thread full or racist political porn and you can practice nuking that?
And i prefer my rainbows.. Dashed.
Congrats! And congrats to Brian & co. for making a very good choice.
This is probably a good time to ask "WTF is your avatar?" So WTF is your avatar? Warning: I'm old and out of touch.
My avatar is indeed from the latest incarnation of "My Little Pony". It is from a Halloween-inspired episode, so it is one of the characters (Rainbow Dash) dressed in a pseudo-ninja type outfit basically.
LSAClassof2000 can give me an avatar of anything he wants, even a pony, if I win a points prize, and I'll keep the avatar until the next football season starts.
Something doesn't feel right here. Don't do it.
to upload myself, and i'm sure he won't pick something too awful. and if he does, I guess i'll just be really quiet on here until August.
May I suggest Fluttershy?
You're lucky I'm not a mod. And so is Brian.
as of this writing i'm still sans avatar and sans points bonus.
EDIT: I got the points bonus, but no avatar. I'll still honor my end of the bargain if you hit me with one, but thanks!
Us bronies moving up in the world! That's what's up!
This is me screaming about Trey Burke on college radio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKxj1Sw43fc&feature=youtu.be
Congrats! My number one choice for a mod on here.
justingoblue took offense to this.
some characteristics of highly successful moderators. Instead of 100 points may I have a little karma boost?
Because I pulled a hammy floor slapping
But that's because I thought he was already a mod.
Congrats to LSAClassof2000! I hope you don't mind if my donkey doesn't wear sparkles and bangles.
Moderate posbang me...please
I think we discussed something a little while ago about this day..
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oCMpecJf3H4?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oCMpecJf3H4?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Edit, I suck so hard at embedding videos, so here is the straigh up Youtube link.
I love that so much. I can't embed for shit either pbp
Congrats, LSAClassof2000, and good luck keeping this rabble in line!
LSAClassof2000 has just won modship. What will he do next?
*finding no trophy, holds up the nearest thing to him - a Paulaner Hefeweizen*
"I'm going to Disneyworld...later this year, because if I left now, without the kids, I would not be allowed back in the house."
I guess after dealing with a whole state full of assholes whining about their electricity for a day job, it should be pretty easy to deal with a site full of assholes whining about their MGoPoints.
I personally thought he was going to pick a different hat
We now have more Internet cats! Seriously though, congrats and enjoy Disney world!
I'm not afraid. I'm bigger than him. I think I can take him.
As long as he doesn't hit my face. :(
I have just eaten a super-spicy ghost pepper in honor of your elevation to mod status.
(Technically, it was just a jalapeno, not a ghost pepper. And to be perectly honest, another reason I ate it was to kind of give my carne asada some kick. But it's all good).
Magnus says he'll need to work on staying low. He looks like a back-bender not a knee-bender.
Mr. Rager says Magnus is an asshole who's not qualified to make judgments on mods.
Congrats LSA. Posbang for everybody!
Dear lord, the bronies are taking over. The apocalypse is nigh. Sure, it's a really cute apocalypse, filled with sparkles and giggles and inside jokes that most three year old girls wouldn't get, but an apocalypse nonetheless.
Congrats LSAClassOf2000, and your commitment (and the lure of _possibly_ passing go and collecting 100 points in one fell post) was enough to push me over the edge to make my own commitment. After skulking all over the board since roughly the day of the Hoke hire, I've finally created an account.
Now, you may or may not wish to bestow the power of thread creation upon me at this time. However, should you do so, I can promise that my first thread will not ask if anyone has heard anything new about X recruit that hasn't been posted yet. Actually, I'll probably skulk for another year or two.
At any rate, my bona fides: I am not RDT. I confess that I did really enjoy his (?) earliest posts as RDT, and in hindsight, really wanted to believe that we had someone with Bama inside info posting for us.
I am somewhat sorry to say that I know what a number 1 bathroom is. The number 2 bathroom is the state immediately to your south. To find the commode in that bathroom, go south until you smell it and east until you step in it. You cannot miss it using arial photos!
My overwhelming early memory of Michigan football is this: "Anthony Carter in the end zone!!!!!!"; therefore, regardless of recent history, I do not consider Michigan State to be more than a pimple on the bottom of Michigan football, I mean, a rival. I now live in North Carolina (Durham) and Michigan State is our NC State. NC State has to have a rival, so they consider UNC to be it, but THE rivalry here is of course Duke versus UNC. I must confess, I am on the Duke side of that one (see below).
I am a Mott Hospital, Allen Elementary School, Tappan Junior High, Huron High School, best friend's parents were UM grads with season tickets, a motorhome for tailgating, and lots of friends, so got to go to quite a few games in my day, first drink in the Arb, won't kiss and tell, but near North Campus for some other firsts, Wolverine (who knows there ought to be a bunch of hyphens in that sentence). Degrees from EMU and Duke. EMU is 1-0 against Duke all time, btw.
I also want to say that I jumped on the Hoke-may-be-alright train upon reading Jason Whitlock's piece about Hoke, not because I knew anything about Whitlock at all, but because the fact that anyone would write that piece about him spoke volumes to me. Turns out he was right.
Also, in case there is any question, I root overwhelmingly for Michigan over Duke, of course. And if this intro post won't earn me a few points, this should: I've been to 2 Michigan-Duke games, both at Cameron. 2000 and 2002. Believe it or not, 2002 was worse because we only had something like 10 or 12 points at halftime. Ouch!
Finally, thanks to all of the denizens here for the entertainment the last couple of years, maybe I can contribute a bit myself from time-to-time now. And if there is a recruit in the triangle area who needs stalking (like a big M sign at their football game - no twitter!!!) flash me the M signal.
Did LSA commit because of Shane Morris' recruiting prowess? I didn't realize it extended to the MGoBoard!!
Because he just wanted a free t-shirt.
Mods get t-shirts, right?
Am I too late for the fun?! I knew I shouldn't have watched four Ancient Aliens in a row!!!
Congrats LSA. I don't really know how this will change the board, but I do look forward to more of your statistical analysis in the future. It really adds something unique and sophisticated to the blog that you can't find elsewhere.
Would like to extend a congratulations to LSU, have always enjoyed your diaries. Is there any specific duties you are undertaking? Any specific contributions you plan to do regularly?
Congratulations on your promotion LSA. I feel more comfortable posting here knowing that you are on staff.
Kinda surprised I didn't get an offer...I mean cmong
Congrats man! I knew putting cat pictures to liven up your posts would really take you places.
This thread needs more charts... Only one in 13 pages of messages..
and Congrats LSA! Good job!
I have enjoyed his graphical magic. One can only re-read The Mathlete's post only so much.
Congratulations and good luck!
Having attended both games(in Breslin and Crisler) I thought I would share my experiences.
First that which I dont want to admit. There were a lot more spartans in Crisler than wolverines in Breslin. Can't say as I blame those of you that abstained...who really wants to spend time in Lansing if they dont have to? And during the course of the game...Breslin was louder. Crisler started rocking in the end, but the old argument stands...If you're only going to make noise AFTER something good has happened, you aren't likely to see a lot of good things*climbs off of soapbox*
On with the highlights: he who laughs last...
And words just cannot express everything Michigan basketball has going for it. Just look at Crisler. A two story waterfall,
giant touchscreens where you can play freaking kinect basketball(I kid you not),
displays for the '97 National Championship and the Heisman Trophy...You walk into Breslin, and this is what you see...
Dingy cracked cement and cinderblock...the place looks like a fallout shelter built in the 80's.
Then we got to our actual seats...
Nice eh? Do you like the silver and green pompoms? Because those are their colors...wait...aren't they gold and green? I'll get back to you on that. As for the Heisman trophy...yeah, you're never going to see that in East Lansing. At any rate, if you're looking at basketball from an "arms race" perspective...MSU had better sink some money into their program...and soon.
Seems like a lot of good content getting lost. I find it amazing how state of the art Breslin in it's short life already looks like it's in old Crisler condition. Man, they have done the up keep on that place. (And was that the student section with benches?).
I found it funny it took me a minute to see the waterfall to the side of the pic; I was thinking...all that rain and snow, was it pouring down the escalators...?
I was still suffering from PTSD from the Breslin experience...guess I couldn't talk about it till this mornin. Our seats were baseline nosebleeds. I'm determined to keep going back until we get another W in that Festering sinkhole.
Best of luck keeping this crew in line.
Congrats on becoming a new mod!
