My cool story from the MSU game - I went to the game with a friend and as is typical for me, I was screaming my head off at the times when I thought it might help our team (on defense, during MSU free throws etc.). There was a State fan who was by himself and sitting next to me. We (and everybody around us) were above the fray and ignored him. He was quiet as well except for muted displeasure about some of the calls. After the MSU three that brought the score to 56-54 he suddenly turned towards me and started screaming in my ear in a mocking tone. I promptly turned to him and started with 'You will always be a typical state fan, but this is Michigan - you better cut it out'. He said 'But you were shouting throughout the game' to which I replied that none of that was directed at him and that is what fans do in their attempt to influence the game in however small a way. I ended by saying that if he wanted to scream/cheer anymore he better look straight ahead or STFU. Rest assured he STFU and politely excused himself after the game.
Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."
