Meta: comment point bug

Submitted by go16blue on
Ever since the new comment system was implemented, all of my comments start with a default of 2 points (and i think this is true of some other users, as well). Its not a really big deal, but its definitely a bug. Has anyone else noticed this?

How do you get the quotation box? I haven't been able to do it in the last couple of board iterations. There used to be a little command link for it, but I don't see it anymore.

I think you have to use

tags in the plain text editor at this point.

There should be a moderation option for "Paralipsical."

That way when someone says something like, "I'm not a complainer, but I hate these changes," or "not to change the subject, but the Tigers are 2 outs from finally winning a damn game right now," I can ding 'em for obscure rhetorical fail.

Plus everyone will learn a new word, like how college football fans (and people who've seen Avenue Q) all know Schadenfreude now.

UPDATE: GIDDYUP! Martin GIDP-ed and the Tigers win it by a score of 4 to 2.

Brian has a history of making grand, sweeping changes...

...and then tweaking things that don't work.

I would guess he's monitoring these suggestions/comments and mapping out some adjustments.
