Meta: Category Reminder
I went through the baseball category for some house cleaning and I thought I'd just throw out a friendly reminder that pro sports, including but not limited to the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, Lions, and Shock, are considered "other" when it comes to creating threads.
Please leave the actual sports listed for University of Michigan varsity and club sports. This makes news pertinent to UM that much easier to find.

What about defunct Michigan pro teams, such as the Michigan Panthers?
Hence the "but not limited to" clause. I was going to put "future MLS and MLL franchises", but I figured that was self explanatory. There were just like 30 Tigers threads to sort through, and one of my other baseball contacts couldn't find something easily. It should have been one of the most recent posts, but instead was back 8-10 pages. All better now.
Oh, and Tom Izzo is not "baseball" either, for that one thread that I semi-resurrected. Not sure what happened there.
...first rolled introduced this he said that it would eventually lead to new MGoBoard sections. Any idea when this will be rolled out? Also, recommend you consider adding an "Olympic Sports" category. It's a better catch all for the "other" sports than "Other".

That's still an off season or two away in terms of new boards. That wasn't a primary goal for improvements from what I understood post-merger.
I've asked for an Olympic Sports category, but it hasn't happened yet either. The last time I asked, it was something like "I'll get to adding it around next school year." I'll probably remind him some time in the next month.
