META: Auto Log out when viewing pages?
Trying to figure out if this problem is local to me or everyone, but has anyone been signed out randomly when opening new pages? I've been having it happen quite often the last few days. Just thought I'd ask the peanut gallery before filing a complaint with the host.

What os and browser?

Vista and Firefox. Haven't been on Chrome to test it out as it happens so sporadically that I might be on it for hours between occurrences.

I had it happen four or five times in ten minutes while trying to post a test pic on ShockFx's HTML primer. Each time I tried to post, I'd get logged out on that window, but remain logged in on my other MGoBlog window. When I moved to a new board item, I stayed logged in, despite being logged out on the other tab.
I'm using FireFox and XP.

I've seen it with Safari and the Mac OS *and* Firefox and XP. Usually it's if I use anything in the "Navigation" pane in the upper left.

I just noticed it tonight while trying to post something. I noticed I had more than one tab with MGoBlog open at the same time. It's the only thing I was doing out of the ordinary.

Haven't noticed any problem at all. I *might* have been using Windows at work and accidentally opened it a few times. It seemed to work okay there too.

Same results here, no problems with that combination.

I noticed it when tracking my other posts... I notice it looks as though I need to log back in; however I don't have to do so, I just ignore it and my session/login never expires.

Yes. IE8/Vista.

This isn't going to be a browser/OS issue. Session tracking is server-side and has nothing to do with browsers. The only thing that could be causing it is if the browser were not saving the cookies properly, but since it is not specific to one browser, it has to be something with the server/site.

Yeah, We've noticed a few specific pages. Brian is looking into it. The two pages I've noticed specifically:
- Basic HTML Posting
- View my recent blog entries (under the my account page)
Any User's pageJust Brian's page (clicking his name)- 2011 Recruiting Page

try hitting ctrl+shift+f5 on that screen. That would tell you if it is cached in the browser or on the server-side. either way it is still a server-side issue, but it would give him more to go on.

Tried clearing that first. Nothing changes.

This seems to be the same issue. You might try giving some of the things listed here a go.

Never happens to me.
