Meta: appreciation thread & thanks be to mods.
Hi all, I'm a relative newcomer to the mgoblog world, and I have been thoroughly impressed since joining last winter. I just want to give a shout out of thanks to the mods (and the self moderating instincts of the whole community) for keeping things focused without stifling random fun threads during the summer lull in sports news. Also, I want to take a moment to thank Brian, Ace. Seth & co. for keeping content flowing for the past 6 months. Mgoblog is truly a unique corner of the Internet. I'm really looking forward to being here this year for football / basketball season! Anyone else care to shout out some appreciation?
Edit: This is also a great thread for razzing me about how I am a brown nosers. Y'all are the best. Get creative and bring out your GIFS!

Cheers mate...I'm with you...
Pretty new as well...lurked for a long time but finally signed up during the aftermath of Bradon-gate...mostly to give props to Brian and Co. for doing such damn good work and helping to right the ship (or it is submarine?).
But all the mods do a great job....and the many quality posters keep me hooked on this site.
Looking forward to this season like none other...its the start of something truly special.

This is probably the only site on the internet where koalas aren't restricted to their own eucalyptus grove/highway crossing and are allowed regular interaction with humans.

It's likely the only sports-centric site where ponies are allowed to A) moderate and B) have regular postgame scuffles with the customers that are sanctioned by the management, so the yes, the standards are a bit different...

This has been a site that well surpasses the RCMB's of the world not only because of Brian's writing but his vision in initially understanding that he was building an interactive community.
But that vision would not be realized without the tireless (yeah, a lot of shit that needed to be flushed from the site occurs in the very late hours) efforts of the mods to execute that vision. Whatever gripe you may have against any of the mods, without their efforts this site would be a hot mess like RCMB and the like.
