Memorial Day Weekend (here for the) posbang thread
man. Condolences.
I cheaped out and bought a Big Steel Keg instead of a ceramic Kamodo/BigGreenEgg.
But am picking up a brisket for memorial day (trimming the cap, but I like some of the cap intact to autobaste), salt/pepper/garlic/MSG rub.
If I am feeling better and the weather holds up, will day trip out to Dewey Beach, DE Sunday, finishing off at the Dogfishhead Tavern in Rehoboth. Probably will not be getting the 120 Minute IPA though..
This one is a Vision Kamado and not a Green Egg (although very similar). This one is a solid Kamado and priced really well at Costco! Man, being from Texas and having lived in Ann Arbor I used to grill with gas and charcoal. Once I got one of these, NEVER AGAIN. I've done a picnic, pork shoulder, brisket, steaks, beer can chicken, vegetables and it all comes out incredible. Make room for one of these you won't regret it. Happy grilling friend.

I shaved my beard into a moustache yesterday and wore it to work. Mostly because my boss is away for Memorial weekend already, and my job title is not 80's Porn Star. It was the most fantastic day of work ever. I just squinted my eyes and nodded my head at everyone who walked by.
That is awesome but rookie mistake. Playoff beard for the Wings/Softball is more important than porn stache.
True. Luckily, I do not get the NHL playoffs here so I have no way of tainting the Red Wings run. I just read the recaps on the blog.
Side note, how big of a fuck up is Bettman that playoff hockey, the only thing that comes close to rivaling the passion of college football, is not broadcast nationally? He needs to go away.

Bought the supplies for tacos and caribou lou out of cups made of pineapples at the pool a few days ago, and now that looks like a dumb decision. OTOH tacos and liquor are rarely a bad combination, and I've always wanted to drink something out of a pineapple.
It was everything I hoped and dreamed it could be. Also, I forgot how strong caribou lou was; should be in for a good night.

Bayern.
Want Bayern to win, but without Goetze, Dortmund's midfield will be a speedbump for Bayern's attack.
They have played pissed the entire season after losing to Chelsea @ Allianz last year.
I can't stand Bayern and I have a buddy who we'll all be watching with who is a huge BVB fan.
That said, I'm pulling for Bayern.
I don't mind Bayern, but I can't stand Robben. The only plus side is that watching him run makes me laugh.
No beer, but will be watching CL Final. Detroit's own Gus Johnson will be doing the game.
Opinions divided on Gus' work as a soccer commentator, but that's a topic for another day.
