Looking back at Clemson's bowl history one can wonder if:

A.  They always draw the short straw in bowl matchups and face teams with great defenses, or

B. They forget to pack their offense in their carry on luggage when they travel to their bowl games.

Look at the scoring outputs for the past 20 years and you'll see that other than one blip in radar, they generally don't get much above the 20 point threshhold.

Edit: I forgot to include the link.

We have the 1st 3 bowls kinda overlapping....do we want to hop to different threads, or have one early game thread (modifying subjectline?). Doesn't matter that much to me, just seeing the general feel on it.

I dont think I have bet USF since the Florida game. Watching them early on, I now remember why. Still in this one, but it could be much worse. I have faith that Clemson will find ways all day to keep the Bulls within range

And, as I speak the Bulls move across midfield with a first down

I don't know any Clemson fans, but I highly doubt this is what they expected when Parker said he was coming back to school and putting off baseball for at least another season.  I'd venture a guess they are ready to see him go hit fastballs.

I'm a current Clemson grad student, and speaking for everyone I know from the Clemson fanbase, we cannot wait until Parker is gone. Most people weren't even worried when rumors were swirling that he wouldn't go to the bowl game because of being upset over the benching during the South Carolina game or the other rumor that he wasn't going to qualify academically. His decision making is nothing but questionable at all times. Not that Tajh Boyd has done much with his playing time this season, but we would much rather get him some experience rather than watching Parker throw across his body, off his back foot to the other team. He hasn't been the same since getting knocked around during the Auburn game. Stick to baseball, Parker. Thank God for our defense this season.

yet the play on the field never seems to match what is expected off them.  Is it Dabo?  I was surprised that they gave him the job and wonder if he may be in over his head?  Just curious from your perspective.

I'm just hoping Michigan rolls Miss. St. tomorrow, RR returns, and we Sammy Watkins sees the error of his ways and changes his commitment to the Maize and Blue.

That's dead on. The biggest frustration stems from the fact that the talent is there, yet we constantly underachieve. It is a great environment (although it's no Big House), and the tailgating and fanbase is insane. Therefore, I can see why recruits like Sammy Watkins are attracted to Clemson.

My boss is a neighbor and close friend of Dabo. He is a great guy with sound character and Christian values that he is not shy about. Although most people nationally were surprised by the Dabo hire, anyone inside the program was not. From what I gather he is much more regimented and focused than Bowden was, but the results just don't seem to be coming. I give him one more year to prove himself.

Personally, I attribute most of the struggles (beyond poor QB play) to extremely conservative offensive play calling. If you were frustrated about the play calling pre-RR at U of M, then Dabo's offense will make your skin crawl. All-in-all Clemson is a frustrating program to be a fan of.

bulls defense is one of the top d's in the country. They are consistently put in tough field position with their stagnant offense but continue to shut down their opponents.

So my sister says " clemson will win because, tigers eat bulls."

I do have to say during march maddness she always picks based on what mascot she likes better and who would win in a fight; she is 3-0 in our family pool.
