Meeting up at Gator Bowl
We'll have 2 cars full. Haven't purchased parking passes yet - wondering where i should park. We will be tailgating somewhere, though.
Parking passes can be purchased here:
Also heading up from Tampa. I will be in Lot H...FYI most lots are now full excpet lot V which is quite a hike to the field. I am sure there are other lots available, just not for pre-purchase via the Gator Bowl site.
My wife and I were actually thinking of getting a rolling cooler and hoofing it over to the stadium from the hotel. Or grabbing a cab over if hoofing it is too far. We could come meet up and talk Michigan football and drink up prior if you are interested. We can make our way over to lot H and find you guys if you tell me what to look for. Plus it is always nice to meet fellow Wolverines that live in Tampa.
I emailed you.
I would imagine that we will be there around 930/10 and are meeting some friends from the Daytona area. I also have not purchased a parking pass yet and wonder if it is necessary or if I am going to be one of the dumb ones for not getting one yet.
My wife and I plus my brother and his girlfriend will be there too and we are in the same boat as you Florida Blue. Our hotel is about 8 miles away and we are not renting a car so we will probably get a cooler and a cab and just come hang out somewhere. We bought "The Patch" to get into the Bud Light tailgaiting area so I definitely want to check that out but if anyone is going to set up shop somewhere and woulod like some company just let me know......... and that whole seriial killer thing is way in the past, I'm so over it! On a side not. Will they be serving beer in the stadium during the game? This is my first bowl game and since it was a nuetral field I was wondering if they would be or not.
Regarding Beer - I believe so, being that this is a pro stadium. I have been to some USF games at Ray-Jay in Tampa, and they serve Beer.
Thanks. I was hoping so but wasn't sure. I am definitely tailgating before but do not want to risk getting kicked out by trying to take anything in with me and the thought of a halftime hangover just sucks.
Anyone know any good bars in the area for New Year's Eve? Preferably 18+ and not too skeezy as I'll probably be with my dad and sister in addition to however many friends make it down for the game.
I am not sure about any bars but did see when I was looking for places to eat today that there was a Dave & Busters there. That place is awesome, Something for everyone to do, a lot of televisions for sports, table games as well as arcade, and they serve alcohol as well. You will probably have a hard time finding an actual "bar" to go to that will allow 18 yr olds in on New Years Eve.
Looks like we're gonna have to ditch the little one then...
New club/ bar opened last week called suite in the southside area if you're interested.
blackfinn in the same area is usually good for all ages and it's going to be warm this weekend so the patio should be pretty family friendly.
The Landing in Jacksonville is pretty cool. Lots of bars and restaurants there. Plenty to do.
I have a parking pass in Lot SS, but would definitely be interested in a meet up as its just me and the fiancee heading down. I also plan on bringing down some good home brew with me for tailgating.
where from in GA? For me it is also just me and the fiance heading down, her first Michigan football game.
Marietta, just another year and a half and we're out of here.
we are in Augusta... probably about 2 years for us. you certainly have a longer drive ahead of you for the game
Also in Lot SS, I think I've traded emails with MGoFly. Sounds like quite a few of us have Lot SS passes.
Also heading up from Tampa and will be parking in lot SS. Have traded emails with a few others, on the road this week and don't have the info with me but will post something when I get home wed. Also a home brewer and a poor planner... will be buying my beer this weekend.
It looks like lot ss is still for sale.. I might go ahead and get this spot too, seems like there will be a few from here parking there plus an easy in - easy out compared to some of the others.
We will have a grill and a few extra chairs....
If anyone was bringing a grill. I would be willing to bring food/side dishes/beer/etc. Would be nice to hang out with some Michigan fans if that was cool. Let me know, email is [email protected].
when looking on there, I just noticed that you have to be there the day before now to pick them up - to bad they dont have an email option. Maybe there will be room when we get there or someones yard it is.
Have about 4 vehicles of Michigan fans parking in this lot from R49-R52. Not sure what is available. Plan to be parked early. Here is the website if you want to check it out: http://www.tailgatersparking.com/index.html
