Media Fail = CNNSI Beller: "Michigan had a terrible week... lost to Ohio State" and is 18-8
I know this board often debates the worthiness of rankings, mid-season seeding predictions, etc., but they are at least enteraining, provide some insight, and give insight into what the national media thinks about our beloved teams.
However, like or dislike, I think that we all can agree that if you get paid (a lot of money) to be an "expert" then know what the hell you are talking about. CNNSI is in the top-2 for sports-media and has a goof declaring that the 18-8 Wolverines had a horrible week that began with a loss at Ohio State.
Fail.

Did we beat them in football at least?

how do you fuck that up? I know that folks will write a piece about a game before the game is actually over, if the outcome is pretty established (cough...Albom....cough), but this is absurd.

This reminds me of a job that they are wrong most of the time and still get a paycheck. Oh, that would be the weatherman!!

Predicting the future is tricky. Reporting the past? Not so much.

I have to disagree with you there.

We hadn't won there since Christ was a kid. My guess is he just assumed we'd lose again.
Remember kids = when you assume something you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"!

You will also note that MSU's entry talks about how they've been so plagued by injuries this season, but they still can't justify higher than a 3 seed. It's just amazing how they are the only team to suffer from injuries this year! Good thing we and every other D1 team have been so lucky.

It now reads: "4. Michigan (18-7, LW: S3) -- The Wolverines followed up a win at Ohio State with a loss at home to Wisconsin. They're tied with Michigan State atop the Big Ten, clear of the rest of the conference by 1.5 games. That makes Sunday's showdown with the Spartans in Ann Arbor the likely de facto regular season conference championship game."

For what it's worth, I don't think SI is affiliated with CNN anymore. CNN's sports come from Bleacher Report.

CNN has switched to Bleacher Report since early January. I'm guessing they will unroll the SI website soon.
