Before the team greets (hopefully) thousands of fans, they're made available to the media for questions and photographs. Tim and I will be attending and armed with a camera and voice recorder. So, any questions you'd really like hear us ask or groupings of players/poses you'd like to see us finagle, let us know.
Who are you? Where are you going?
Please ask about special teams. Who is practicing returning kicks and punts? Are they holding on to the ball better than last year?
I'm especially interested in who's going to field punt and kick returns. Are they going to go by committee or if one sure handed man emerges will they solely use him?
Also, what sort of player are they looking for to do returns- do they want shiftiness, explosiveness, speed, or just good hands?
Can you ask Tay Odoms how the Pahokee players and ask Donovan Warren how Teric Jones and JT Turner have looked so far in camp?
Can we get a pose of Barwis terrifying all the Freshman, preferably with his wolves eating the remains of a Boren jersey?
More seriously, I'd be interested in hearing how they feel about GERG vs. Shafer. Obviously they're going to try and say good PR things but we might still be able to divine something interesting out of it.
It might be hard to ask it correctly, but I'd be interested to know how they feel about Tate vs. Denard as leaders. Unfortunately, I can't think of a way to phrase that sort of question that isn't guaranteed to be offensive to someone or get an "good PR" answer so watered down as to be completely useless.
Finally, Turner, how's he progressing compared to the other corners. Has he been playing a lot? Has he been with the first string? How are is fundamentals, can he tackle?
I know I listed a lot but I'll be interested in whatever you can get. Thanks for asking us what we want.
Please ask Zoltan why we are lucky enough to watch him play.
Ask about how the return game has been going? Special teams could be very big in many games projected very close this year.
Find out who everyone thinks would win in a race to determine the fastest player on the team
Ask them if any of them are growing mustaches for Michigan.
Where are Hemingway and Stonum on the depth chart?
Ask Denard if he forgot to pick up Witty on the way to school.
I guess a more proper question is whether he has any info on Adrian's status. Even with Teric playing well, another CB would be nice.
Preferably George Morales, how is a typical day for a long snapper in comparison to everyone else, and other linemen on the team?
MGoBlog. If so, ask them if they think I'm cool.
Rich is asked about Witty at every press opportunity. He still doesn't know, which is obviously a bad sign for Adrian's eligibility, at least for 2009.
how "all in" I need to be in order to be "all in for Michigan."
Seriously - could you please ask how much of the offense is being adequately executed right now in comparison to the end of the 2008 season, or even the end of 2008 camp? Thanks.
Tiger. how did you feel today?
"well. the. course. looked. good....and. I. felt. good"
Get David Cone to spit a rap about how he thinks this season will turn out
Ask if there is way they can make sure that we cover the spread in the first game. I've got $50 riding on it.
Seriously - I wonder about the depth on the d-line and whether there is a 2 deep emerging for each position.
ask if Rhett Rodriguez is more likely to be a 3 star recruit at QB because that's what's necessary in the Big East, and if he doesn't committ to Michigan right away in high school is he grounded?
What if he commits to ND and Weis calls their home every evening to reaffirm Rhett's commitment? What if Rich Rod picks up and yells at "that fatass" to stop calling, and prepare for an ass-whooping in early Septepmber?
What do we tell the older fans when they demand that we sit down?
The video is up of RR's conference. He uses the word "irregardless" and says all three QBs currently are slated to play in the opener.
But somehow when RR does it, I don't mind as much. Because if that's how he wants to roll, then damnit, I support him.
All in for Michigan, irregardless of word choice.
If he wouldn't of used "irregardless," it wouldn't of had any affect on the preventative measures there taking with they're quarterbacks measurable intangibels.
I was sitting with Tim and John U. Bacon during the press conference. When he said irregardless we just looked at each other and grimaced.
Ask all the incoming freshman from Florida if they brought any winter clothes with them.
