Media Blackout Day 1

Submitted by Tweeter on
Day 1 of my self-imposed media blackout (at least in terms of sports news except ofcourse mgoblog) is almost over. This day has shown just how much time I spend reading sports news online, watching ESPN and listening to 971/1050. I guess I never realized that literally every minute that I am not working, I am in some way, engulfed in the sports world. Today may have been the most boring day of my life. The only thing keeping me going is knowing that come Saturday at 330 I will be drunkenly screaming and waving my M hat above my head as the season kicks off. Time to listen to The Victors some more and watch the glory days on Wolverine Historian. Anyone else enjoying a media blackout?

I have the enviable task of sitting at a desk all day and doing nothing while getting paid. Thus, it's been years since a full day went by and I didn't log on to "that news site." This feels liberating. And awfully boring at the same time. I need new daily-reading website suggestions to fill my time. Commence.

that the work day is almost over and I can go find something to busy myself with. I have found myself talking to people in my office that I did not know existed before today b/c of my blackout. I have also taken to looking at random cooking websites and reading recipes b/c I know the chances of seeing an RR story are relatively small.
