Mealer story on ABC right now

after seeing all the hating on RR yesterday in that other thread, this is at least one thing that he helped the mealer family with that no one can take away.

I was about to post this. First time u actually watched this bc I knew it would be emotional. It was amazing and my allergies are going nuts. It truly is a great story and it makes me so proud to be an alumnus. The images of Brock walking out with the camera at field level and the team in the tunnel waiting to run out, watching him touch the banner, are about as hair-raising as it gets.

All of the stories they're doing seem really cool.

This story was so tragic, and yet is the epitome of the resiliency of humankind. I am glad this story is still receiving air time as it is a wonderful reminder of the difficulties others face, and there ability to overcome them. I believe this story gives strength to others, while reminding them their stresses and challenges in life might be overblown in their mind when compared to the Mealer story. 1%, gets me every time.

How awesome is the "Picking Up Butch" story? This is just amazing. They love Butch and have added so much to his life, not to mention how much he's added to their lives. My allergies kicked in again. Seriously I need to stop watching this show.

Without knowing how history would have been different, the three years of RR's tenure was completely worth it for 2 reasons: Barwis and S&C coaches helping Brock touch that banner and eventually the hiring of Brady Hoke!

Yeah the Mealer story gets my allergies riled up too. But "Picking up Butch" had my allergies in overdrive

So odd and such a sad story. I say odd because I grew up down there and its SO common. My school was in the NWOAL along with Wauseon and I actually know the exact place that happened. The roads around there are all essentially uneven and lightly traveled "cow roads" that intersect in square mile sections. They tend to go from named roads (like main st or the like) to simply numbers and letters. Anyway, its so lightly traveled that people blow stop signs all the time. I lived at an intersection (V-3) and would see cars blow through the 4 way stop at 60mph+ multiple times a day. I've lost too many friends on those roads due to their shoddy make, size and traffic. Drunk driving around there is almost a past time for some. Its just sad.
