"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.
Indeed ... I wonder why Barwis wasn't mentioned?

How appropriate is it that the physician's last name is Rodriguez?
Today, Mealer stands on the verge of something he’s poured his heart and soul into, something he never gave up on, in spite of the grueling two years of therapy with PM&R staff and training with U-M strength and conditioning coaches in the last year; in spite of assurances from surgeons that he may never walk again.
There is nothing wrong with this article. It was intended to highlight the medical treatment that Brock received.
I wasn't comparing them to Harbaugh, I just thought 6 words would have been a nice gesture.
Neither RR nor Barwis got involved for a photo op; they got involved to help someone they consider to be part of the family. Consequently, I am fine with the story being about Brock Mealer's courage and persistence instead of reminding us of something we already know about RR and Barwis.
...is encouraging, but what about the wolves. That is MOTIVATION!!
Must be a conspiracy that RR and his staff weren't fawned over in an article about Mealer
We all know their roll, I'm OK with Brock getting all the credit in this one.
Agreed. I think this is the first time I've seen Brock's story with a focus on the medical staff. There were plenty of stories out there earlier this year that completely overlooked the medical staff's contribution to focus on the strength and conditioning coaches. I see no problem with the university talking up some medical staff members who may have been previously overlooked.
This story is so amazing. I just graduated nursing school so I have learned about how much the odds are against you with SCI.
I decided to email the author of the article and her email address is: email@example.com
Blueheron hit it right on the head, how could she not mention Barwis or his staff that helped him through his rebab? I just mentioned that she should have at the very least mentioned Barwis or the U of M football staff for their efforts.
