I don't think there's much to take away from that other than things are seemingly going as well as expected. While that is good, it's maybe not exactly news. I could also say I'm up early on the grind.

not convinced that he is 100% not coming back this year.  "Indefinitely" does mean something different in sports than "for the season," and the word that has been used exclusively to describe Mitch's status has been "indefinitely."  He looks mobile and without any noticeable movement restrictions on the bench, and looks fully engaged with this team and what is happenning on the floor.

If he was conclusively out for the season I think those words would have been used already. I hope he's "up early on the grind" putting in work to see if he can make it back for the end of the season because from what I have heard(or not heard), though possibly unlikely, I don't think it is completely out of the equation.

So if I'm reading the tea leaves here it appears that McGary got up this morning.  And then after he was up he started doing things -what with him now being up and all.

That clearly IS good news.

I mean #TheRuturn doesn't lay out a time table for return to the court, but the fact that he's rising and grinding suggests progress on his condition.  It's good news, at the least.

If you aren't familiar with The Kids these days, "the grind" is synonymous with "the things I have to do." It includes classwork, film study, yoga, grocery shopping, etc. So saying he's back on the grind doesn't mean he's lifting heavy objects or anything.
