the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
McDowell visit reaction?
"Get your heads out of you asses"... right? Being a super successful, rich, secret-agent spy who graduated from Michigan, you should understand basic and fundamental rules of the English language.
The small amount of rules on the board really aren't hard to understand/follow.
Go Blue!
Says the guy who constantly needs to tell the Internet how successful he is.
I bet you're a really big deal.
I sell medical equipment and married my wife after accidentally getting her pregnant. We live in a nice village in Southern California and still toke up from time to time.
"to make a complete evaluation off video w/o seeing guys in-person - I don't believe that at all." - Josh Helmholdt
Is that supposed to be about me? If so, I'd like to update you that we're expecting our second accident in a few months.
As for my profession, I was asked specifically in a thread discussing majors (as in what do you do with a sociology degree, which is a good question, btw) and I never said whether or not I was successful. I certainly didn't say it as a way to attack another poster based on his/her job.
Was Rager's comment really directly at you, Wolv? If so, he's done here.
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
You don't need to boot someone on my behalf. I'm certainly not offended by Internet tough guy.
That said, I'm sure that was about me, since it has come up on here before how my wife and I had our first before we were married. And everything else is true.
Thanks for the confirmation. I don't have time for this crap. No one should be personally attacked on this Board. I'll take care of it from here.

Congrats on the upcoming second kid, though.

"... and make money from it..."

or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
Or head bashing bored at a student job and after reading all of the recent posts, is looking for ANYTHING to entertain oneself for the next few hours.
Certainly. But not much worse than all the other guys at Rivals, Scout, 247, ESPN. Is he an Uncle Rico/Al Bundy type with an inflated sense of football knowledge because he has creepily analyzed one too many a video of 16 year olds hip turn and leverage? Sure.
But it's not like anyone on here is any better. We all follow the recruiting and comment on coaching and think we know what we are talking about. Magnus is just more annoying because he has marginally a tad more knowledge than most of us, but comes off extremely certain and self-assured in his opions on recruits and coaching - which are often just a rewrite of other sites assessments (also made by hacks grasping to their high school football playing days).
So basically my point is....All the criticism leveled at Magnus is indeed justified, it's just that the crowd here is by no means the ones in a position to be judging him. It's like the clergy ripping the Pope.

Your opinion is your opinion, but the fact is that I make my own assessments. I get recruiting info (who gets offered, where they're visiting, etc.) from various locations - Twitter, Rivals, 247, MGoBlog, etc. - but I don't need anyone else to make my player evaluations for me.
More just my opinion that all the scouting sites are just as competent or incompetent as any random HS coach analyzing talent. And, these guys shouldnt give you shit because you enjoy watching tape and making analyses as baseless as the rest of those recruiting sites.
And that anyone on here ripping you is a hypocrite because none of us know shit either.
BILG
Some of us do know shit, and we're willing to back it up with our opinions vs. those that get paid for doing same, i.e., Josh Helmoldt from Rivals, whom upon hearing from two former site members that a certain 5 star DT that committed to UM would have to learn the position, instead of just relying on his size and strength, as demonstrated on his highlight tape, became irritated and had this to say:
¨Just because he's not from the w.side of the state, knowing we both were, doesn't mean he's not a legit 5 star.¨Wow, how condescending and just because he's from the e. side, obviously, and doesn't know the difference between ect and etc., and which one is correct, he slides by because he played at the same school I did, only years apart. That school being GVSU, of course. I still think I was much better than he, and I know I learned a hell of a lot more in regard to English Composition than he did, but damn, the man has 45 lbs of fat on me, so I don't really want to piss him off. He is just not that good at rating or writing, two, as we all know of the three Rs.
This ain't a hobby, I'd die for this shit.
'Try growing up in Texas a Michigan WOLVERINE'.
He showed up and measured 5'11", 165 pounds. We are no longer recruiting him.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
No new Project 135 T-Shirts handed out = mass overreaction.
Would have been nice to see though...
“They’re still up there with everyone else.”
You're getting a lot of snarky answers, but I learned some things from the comments in this thread. I don't have a problem with the OP.
Why have 9 people at this point down voted this thread? The OP asked a legit question and wants info and he gets down voted for that? I just read a thread on this blog the other day where JustinGoBlue gushed about how great this community is at answering legit questions and sharing knowledge. Seems to me that it's really the opposite. Please explain.
I'll try my best to explain. When there is news it is reported here, fairly quickly. So the need for a post asking about news is unnecessary seeing that if there was news there would be a post about it. Therefore this post wouldn't be necessary and isn't necessary. Hope that helps. I didn't down vote fwiw and that isn't worth much.
This is true if by "news" you mean a commitment, de-commitment, scheduled visit, etc. If "news" is defined really broadly, like McDowell's visit reaction, that kind of thing often doesn't make it back here. Whether it should is another question, since the pay sites typically work to get that information (and a lot of it is silly anyway), but as a point of fact, a lot of stuff like this doesn't actually show up on MGoBlog.
If McDowell had come out and said that he had a great time and that Michigan was his leader or anything different from what he said "They are near the top like the others" I believe it would be reported. The running back who visited on Saturday said it was "eye opening" and other glowing things and a post was made for it.
Also because:
1. Learn to use twitter.
2. Use the free websites like the 247 boards.
3. I didn't downvote but did enjoy making the snarky comment. Sometimes I just want to be an ass and this is a great opportunity
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
You sheep, have indeed come a long way since your days of baaaaaaaah. I almost miss the days of your trite repetitive commentary.
Good day.
BILG
1. Because they can.
2. Because it makes them feel grown up.
The Board is quickly turning into a train wreck.
In this case, its fine to dislike content and downvote it, but I'll never understand why people feel the need to voice their displeasure with a separate comment. FYI - Its more annoying than the post that you (not you, Don) are complaining about.
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
but its not quickly becoming that way. It's been a downward spiral for many months. For all the good content on here, there's far more horseshit than ever to sift through to find it. Even the dry and funny stuff that I used to like is being replaced with OTs about TV shows and anything else that has nothing to do with sports or Michigan. I know, I can stop visiting.... Just seems like a place filled with snarky children who have very little quality input.
Sam Webb talked briefly about McDowell on this morning's recruiting roundup—starting around the 3:30 mark on the podcast.

Well, this thread took a weird turn. I forgot it was even about McDowells visit after reading through it.
“When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing” - Bo Schembechler
I almost completely forgot what the thread was about as well. But anyways, McDowell was actually in a minor car accident, so he was late getting to Ann Arbor. That's why he wasn't in any pictures or mentions really.

I have been to his site. I see one or two posts a day and most are relatively short. I have no idea what he does and I really don't care because it isn't worth thinking about. However, you feel the need to tell people what to think and push your opinion on everybody, which I find very annoying and childish. Perhaps you could find something more constructive to do that bitch and complain about an internet poster.
Peace.
