MBB wins 73-61; Duke/Tennessee winner tomorrow night at 7
Len Elmore put it perfectly. This Michigan team is very patient team. The Wolverines shut down a athletic Memphis team and got theminto major foul trouble. Next on the slate is a rematch of 2011 NCAA Tournament game either against Tennesse/Duke winner. Duke is a major favorite and has never lost in Maui. If they advance, let's give them lost #1 and redeem ourselves from last year.
Go Blue.

Isn't it amazing how often Michigan and Duke find a way to cross paths?

What is really amazing is how well we have actually done against them.
My wife is a Dookie. I met her in the early 90's. It's not like I have to totally hang my head when it comes to basketball.
Since I have been with her, we have beaten Duke 4 times (3 in a row at one point) and came within a basket of beating them 2 more times. That's unheard of for a non-ACC team. And a football school at that. Michigan makes Duke nervous.

I hope your wife doesn't wave her degree around, drop alumni names and whine like Grant Hill does. Damn, his whole bitchfest really soured me on an otherwise reputable program.

I cringe when people call us a "football school." We're good at a lot of things, basketball included. We won a national title in basketball two years before Duke ever did.

Will be interesting to see how the Duke game goes because they're usually aggressive on D, but in March they were selling out to stop the backdoor cuts. Wonder what kind of sets/cuts we'll run. Also will see more 1-3-1 because that's been a stopper in our last two matchups against K.
