Got too close for comfort, but if you tell me we beat #20 Indiana by double digits and lead the whole way, I take it every time.

That was hilarious watching Beilein stutter while attempting not to say Ohio "State."  He's definitely getting serious about this whole thing.

I don't know whether this team is a lock quite yet (lock in the sense that in Bubble Watch and NCAA Tournament forecasts, barring something crazy, they're in) but a Top 20 RPI, 7-3 Big 10 record, and 17-5 overall record with 8 Top 50 RPI wins is as close to that lock status as you can be with a month and a half left to go.

Scary moments there in the middle of the 2nd half, but they kept their cool and hung on to avenge the loss at Assembly Hall. 13-0 at home.

This has become a nice little season so far.

Win number 17.  Great way to rally and even though Indiana fought back, Michigan never gave up the lead or let them tie.  It may not be the prettiest thing to watch, as we all probably would have loved a 20 pt. shellacking of the Hoosiers, but it means something to have let a team back but not give in all the way and finish the game strong.

THJ.  Man, I dunno.  There are times when he's out there that he's more detrimental to the team than he is helpful.  I hate typing that, but am I wrong?  Please tell me I am.  However, he had the confidence to sink a huge three late in the game.  I wish he would follow Trey Burke's lead in realizing that when you get to the rim good things happen.  THJ may not have the handles or quickness Trey does but just attacking, more things open up, as we saw Trey realize a few times tonight, and THJ is also probably more athletic to get a better shot off Burke is (i.e Burke dishes off many times while getting near the rim, whereas THJ can get an actual shot off).  Point being, quit jacking up shots when you have capabilities not many others do and get to the basket.  (Even when he misses short shots near the rim, I am happy he got there and wish he'd realize they'll fall eventually.)

Smotz seemed to add a dribble, then-shoot move tonight, done a few times.  Maybe this is to add a rhythm to his shot.  Jordan Morgan did a nice job tonight I thought down low.  Michigan kept Zeller out of the game scoring wise and JM was  a big part of that.  He grabbed a few key rebounds as well throughout the game.  Novak was clutch.  Heck of a game for him.  Stu looked better tonight as well; nice moves and finishes a few times getting to the basket.  Good win though.  Sorry I griped about THJ, high expectations will cause that.  Get Spartacus on Sunday for #18.  Go Blue

I agree about THJ. He seems to sometimes take the offense out of its flow and he takes some bad shots. It didn't seem as bad tonight, but 2 for 8 from 3 speaks for itself. He was missing wide open shots, too. I wonder if he could maybe use one game where he started from the bench or something. He does need to get to the rim more often, which might also open up his shooting. Right now he's too passive about it.
