MBB vs Charlotte Open Thread

Submitted by tdcarl on

Looks like that 6:30 start isn't going to happen as the FSU vs Northeastern game still has 8 min left.

Anyway, here is an open thread for the game.

According to ESPN's scoreboard page, the time is now 7:15 PM. I wish they would communicate these changes so I didn't end up doing things I would potentially regret like rush through dinner and put dishes in the dishwasher unwashed, but then I will just sit here and wait and deal with picking peas out of the glassware later tonight.

Why do networks and cable companies refuse to admit how long games are now?  Back in the day, not a big deal but with digital guides and DVRs my programs set to record get all jacked up.  A-holes.

Do these preseason tournaments have reputations? Like, is being in Puerto Rico worse or better than being in New York, Hawaii, etc...?

McGary was obviously winded and playing back into shape. He's coming off a mysterious back injury. Michigan is playing a team that appears to be seriously overmatched. All good reasons to limit his minutes if possible this game - at least keep him to something reasonable. What wouldn't make sense is to run McGary out there for 30+ minutes in a game we win going away.

Of course if the game is tight, all bets are off.
