At some point our shots have to start falling right? How can we be this unlucky on this?
Oh and fuck all Rims
January 21st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
DEATH TO ALL RIMS
Edit: Just realized that BlueBarron posted the same thing before I did. My bad.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
Oh well. Nothing you can do. I really hate this team. Maybe they can be our number two basketball rival now behind Ohio. Nobody else really matters we play.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
so close, this is a learning experience for our team. What hurts will only make us tougher.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
Don't get it???
January 21st, 2012 at 4:05 PM ^
novak needs help getting his shot. burke is the only guy anymore that can score on his own. THJ is even struggling at that lately.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
No one hit a shot but Novak today, why go with a cold shooter, idiot!
January 21st, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
i almost feel as if that was a win. burke is one hellava player. he already clearly the best player with the biggest cajones on this team...with all due respect to novak.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:02 PM ^
That's a garbage way to finish a game. Just garbage. 7.6 seconds, and that's the best we can do.
Give me a break. Epic choke of what should have been a winnable game from the start.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:02 PM ^
i doubt that was the play called during time out.. how come no one wants to tie the game anymore.. its always going for the win or nothing
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^

How did we lose to that team?
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
Stop saying that Trey was the only one who came to play! Novak and Morgan had amazing games! Fuck!
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
How is a team of player recruited to be shooters one of the worst three point teams in the B1G? I know they take more questionable ones than most teams, but living and dying by the three is so damn frustrating.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
That was bad. That last play was just....bad.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
That was as bad as it could get.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
Wow, incredibly unlucky as usual, I don't understand how we miss all these threes
January 21st, 2012 at 4:04 PM ^
of tit babies around. They played well in the 2nd half to get back in it. Arkansas made SEVEN field goals all half.
If Michigan would have been blown out, you tit babies whining about the last play against a very good man defense, would have said, "We're doomed in the 2nd half of B1G play b/c of this!! Aarghh!"
January 21st, 2012 at 4:09 PM ^
Is losing ok with you?
January 21st, 2012 at 4:04 PM ^
January 21st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
That probably wasn't the play. Burke didn't rush up the court and seemed to kill the play.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:04 PM ^
January 21st, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
1. they had to pass it into the back court. that cost a couple seconds
2. Smot set a poor screen way too high basically leaving burke double-teamed 30 ft from the basket with no one to pass to
3. so burke took a couple dribbles to create the best shot possible for himself
4. not a great look, but after what i've seen lately, he's the guy i want taking that shot.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
On the road, you go for the win. Not one player could have drove the rim with anything less than an ass rapping, and you know damn well the sec referees had the whistles in their throats already. Good shot. Go Blue, bench Stu!
January 21st, 2012 at 4:13 PM ^
Stu the guy who, despite being ice cold, handled the ball well and played great man defense in the second half?
Who do you put in, Vogrich? The second that happened we killed our 10 pt run and gave up 6 points.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
for not running the play and making a stupid Freshman mistake. I hate you and all of our other crappy players for just standing around watching you do it.
This team sucks and doesn't deserve to and probably won't win another game this year.
/s
January 21st, 2012 at 4:08 PM ^
I know you added the /s and were attempting to be funny but it is not appreciated.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:52 PM ^
it wasn't so much of an attempt to be funny but rather a stab at all of the hate mongers and made shot/missed shot, good defense/bad defense band wagoners on this board.
It's rediculous!
January 21st, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
Shut up you whiny bitch
January 21st, 2012 at 4:50 PM ^
meter broken?
January 21st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
Trey showed heart today. Novak and Morgan also played pretty well once they settled down. Hardaway Jr. had an awful day. Announcers need to start calling him one of the stars of the team. He hasn't played well this year and he definitely hasn't been a star. Stu and Smotrycz were also pretty bad.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
that dude was a 4* recruit brought in to do one thing - knock down 3s. he can't even do that anymore. he hardly even looks for a shot anymore. and when he does, well airball today.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
Novak has been our best shooter for a month, but our coach didn't have the balls to give it to him with the game on the line
January 21st, 2012 at 4:16 PM ^
there was only 7 sec left and novak can't create his own shot. most of his shots are created by burke driving to the hoop and kicking it out.
sorry, but that inbouds pass has to go to burke.

January woes over the last four years. It's about time we bring an all around game on the road and get off to a quick start.

It sucks. But lets be proud of our boys today. We lost by 2 points when we were down by 24 at one point. We fought and never gave up. Go Blue.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:08 PM ^
Or did it start just after the game started. What a bunch of idiot posts on this thread. Don't support this team one day and throw "F" bombs at them the next. Some of the posters on here don't have a clue what it takes to play this game. So Michigan lost. Big deal. Get a life. Support the team win, lose, or draw.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:08 PM ^
Shouldn't have even scheduled this game. Nothing to gain by winning and a tiny bit to lose by losing. Once B1G season starts, that should be your only focus. I would rather of had this weekend off before going on the road to Purdue and OSU.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:15 PM ^
I'm fine that we scheduled this. This gives us experience in a hostile road environment (Bud Walton Area seats 20,000 and was sold out) without counting in the conference standings. Just because we lost doesn't mean it was automatically a bad idea to play.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:18 PM ^
this gave us a shot at a respectable road win, which can be huge come tourny time. scheduling the school for the blind at home does nothing.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:09 PM ^
Brady 6 is on ABC. Let's be happy again.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
I needed that.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:09 PM ^
We still don't have a road win
January 21st, 2012 at 4:09 PM ^
Hell if a comeback and it just didn't bounce our way it's ok.

January 21st, 2012 at 4:10 PM ^
What is all this bitching and woe? Our team weathered an extremely hot shooting team at home and had a chance to win the game at the end. I'm disappointed it didn't go in and of course there are plenty of things to improve but I'm extremely glad to see this team didn't roll over and got it back from down 20.
January 21st, 2012 at 4:16 PM ^
unlike you in this case.
For a team with zero road credibility, a win in a very hostile arena would have been huge. Instead we came out and fell way behind an inferior team. You know, in the eyes of the tournament committee? The people who select teams to play in the NCAA tournament? Which is kind of the goal every season?
While the comeback was admirable, this was a game that we, perhaps not NEEDED to, but should have won and would have helped us out in a big way.
It also seems to be a habit of this team to continually fall behind big on the road, no matter the competition and that is worrying.
