MBB v. W. Illinois; Open Thread & Stream Link

Submitted by MGoChippewa on

The Wolverines take their 2-0 record into a game with Western Illinois tonight, tipping off at 8:30 in the newly renovated Crisler Arena.  This is Michigan's last warmup before a huge matchup against Memphis in the Maui Invitational on Monday.  Kenpom has no respect for WIU, ranking them 332nd among 345 Div 1 basketball programs.  The game is streaming on  espn3.com but for those who don't qualify for their coverage, here's a link to the action....

EDIT

The non-ESPN stream link is not working tonight. Will update if I find a viable link.

DOUBLE EDIT

Not having any luck finding a link, best I can do for you is provide free audio:

I am getting sick of having to watch these games online. Why can't the btn air this game? I know espn probably has the rights to it or something but come on.

Looking at other games currently on, and based in my experience watching the last game my quality isnt too good on ESPN3. Can anyone tell me how to get better quality?

More bandwidth. Quality also goes in and out a lot. Off of commercials it usually is pretty blurry, then progressively gets better over the next minute or so. And that's off of crappy Internet that's shared with my entire apartment building

I've got max video quality, so the picture isn't bad, but the little freeze lag is maddening. I don't know how some of you watch all your games on the net (by necessity).

Anyone have info?

This is what happened:

Some dude tweeted that Scout.com reporting that Meyer signed a 7yr deal at OSU.

The problem: Scout.com reported no such thing.  What with re-tweeting and all, anyone can pretty much say anything and tens of thousands of people will see it.  No legitimacy to it at all.

i would apologize for the language but it's completely appropriate.

even though i have xfinity, i can't get the stream because i can't install flash 11.1 because i don't have Mac OS 10.6 or later. wtf is the point of using technology that's widely incompatible with the operating systems people actually have?

I'm not saying the student section at basketball games is weak, but I think it could be so much better and louder. A lot of times I see some students jumping, but many of them don't. I know it isn't Duke and no one student section will ever be as loud and crazy as the Duke student section, but I just think Michigan's can be better. I also see some students not doing the chants when they should be. The student section should also be larger and that, of course, is on Dave Brandon to allow that.
