Not gonna lie, I didn't watch one second of this game, but I thought I would help out with getting the board caught up. You're welcome.

Jordan Poole had a good all around game. Showed some good range from 3 and had a monster block on D. Livers looked decent too. Matthews was his usual badass self

Simmons saw something like 2 minutes in the first half and then didn't see the floor again until there was about 9 minutes left in the game. It was well out of reach at that point and even when he came in the first time the game wasn't really a game.

I think we're starting to see it shake out as Brooks being the primary guy, but will be interesting to see how he handles the atmosphere in Chapel Hill.

I will be honest here - after yesterday, that basketball game was a nice palate cleanser.

If I get at least one low-stress collegiate sports experience over a given weekend, usually I can do better throughout the week.

I feel really good about Brooks running things, especially after today. I'm really looking forward to this season.

Livers is going to be a beast. Teske off the bench. Mathews will be Mathews. Poole played good too, but for me Brooks showed great today.  Duncan played some D.

Something I noticed and commented on at the game:  It looked like Robinson was playing much more denial on his man.  Maybe that's a strategic move.  Have Robinson play denial defense so that there are less opporuntities for his man to attack him off the dribble.  You give up some in help defense, but if you have Robinson guard a shooter - where you normally are already sacrificing some help D - it might help him hide on defense a bit without bailing into a zone.

I could be off, but worth looking for moving forward.

Poole deserves more PT...every time i’ve seen him in the game he’s making plays. He was our highest rated recruit and was a pivotal player on a national champion HS team. Kind of shocked he hasn’t been playing more early on in the year.
