Lewan. Love it
mesmerism! presidential assassinations! circuses on fire!
Lewan. Love it
Good conducting, Lewan.
BTN is making their money on basketball this year. Lord knows Purdue-Northwestern football doesn't draw a ton of viewers
Who ya got?
Taylor directing the band? Awesome.
Unfortunate turn of events there. Just when we were about to put it out of reach now it's back down to single digits
Tre needs to quit dribbling and pass the ball
Not sure if thread worthy (I don't have the points anyway) but Brian Kelly has interviewed with the Eagles. Mutual interest.
Would be hilarious if ND finally thought they had returned to glory and then Kelly left and they replace him by hiring some other dufus
Taylor Lewan. All that is man.
Jesus. Are we shooting less than 50% from the free throw line?
Free throws 12 of 21 tonight. Terrible.
Factor in at least a couple missed front ends of 1-and-1's. Plenty of points pooped away.
Practice them this week
Must be the night, Louisville, Kansas, and Syracuse similar struggles or worse.
Win ugly than lose pretty
Only 20 points below our average
Because that's looking pretty likely.
No. It was like 26. You might be thinking of one of the first two games.
I was definitely confusing it with Iowa.
We never blew the doors off them, but even in the 1st half, I never felt like the game was in jeopardy. We shot 15% less than them, missed 9-10 free throws, a dunk, a couple open jumpers, they hit 2-3 ridic 3s, and M still wins by 10 or so.
But that just speaks to the system Beilein runs:
Don't foul, don't get out of position, don't leave your feet: we're never in foul trouble, and were in the double the whole 2nd half while Neb just go to the bonus.
if we shoot a modest 40% from the field and hit 70% of FTs, we win by 20-25
A tough, grind-it-out game, but it's all good at sweet 16-0!
This game was a big time reality check. Good to know we can win ugly games like this.
Off shooting night. 15 pt win. I will take it.
Clap clap clap clap clap.
Hanging in there for a fair chunk of the game against UM, beating (awful) USC and (terrible) Wake - we might just be the best worst major conference team in the country!
Best wishes the rest of the way folks - this team you've got might just turn out okay this year. ;)
Good NU game plan.
Off night, but got the W.
If you're going to play a shitty game it's good to play it against an even shittier team.
On to Columbus.........
