I only started one other MBB game thread this year and it was for Illinois and that one turned out well. Hopefully twice is still a charm.

So Michigan has decided to do nothing on offense for a while.

Because we played 30 minutes of great basketball and 6 minutes of the worst basketball you could imagine.
Should have been an Illinois foul on the guy who crashed on Lavert's steal there.

Sorry, it's just ridiculous that people still put an A in his name after it was already discussed in the SAME thread.
Morgan is literally the only guy who plays defense inside, as bad as the defense is this year doesn't bode well next year unless Mitch returns. Horford being the vanguard of our paint defense is a scary thought.
Someone on this team better wake up before they play themselves right back down off of that 2 line.
Shame that Nik picked today to revert to some bad habits, that and the team acting like they've never seen a zone before.
1. Stauskas should NEVER be in the center of the zone. Put Caris and GRIII there.
2. DRIVE and KICK!

Well, this certainly sucks. I don't have a good feeling here. Michigan's offense has sucked for about the last eight game minutes.
Which means... they're about to... catch fire?
The offense isn'tlooking good and the fact they're not able to crack a zone with a large group of tall wings is frustrating. Hopefully this gets the let down game out of their systems and they'll be poised for the real tournament.

Was that last basket by Illinois the worst play of the season? Literally waltzed through all five defenders for an uncontested layup.
We are taking contested 3's and they are getting layups at will, this game is over if we can't change that
that was the single worst defensive attempt to stop a drive I've seen for some time.
But we're still going to win, so OK. Learning moment.
The whole point of going zone is to cut out that penetration. How one guy can just waltz right through three guys and lay it up uncontested.... this is just a dismal effort defensively today, aside from a stretch early in this half.
